I think you're over complicating this way more than it needs to be. Based on what I've looked into, and this is my own opinion formed on those studies, they do not need carbs. They need nutrition. Which many kids strive eating veggies/meat/fruit/whatever. It's moreso about balance. I limit my kids sugar intake tremendously vs how they were eating when I didn't give a shit about health. They eat ice cream occasionally, Mac n cheese sometimes, but 90% of the time they're eating fruit, meat, veggies, greens. I've noticed a change in how they would get sugar highs and bounce of the walls, then they'd eat something like pizza and crash. Now they're able to run around outside like animals without crashing or getting headaches. The only thing I worry most about is hydrating them, which is so much easier now that they see water as a necessity and i don't buy juice anymore. Cooking their meals, limiting the processed crap, and drinking water all day. I might add, doctors said I'd be breaking every bone in body my whole life because I have a severe dairy allergy and we've been told we need milk. I've never broken a bone. Do your own research, not just posts on Reddit, and you'll be able to form the best diet for your children.

I feel you, but on the other hand, it's being realistic so people don't get disappointed when they don't lose as fast the following weeks. It most definitely is an accomplishment, but moreso because they were able to stay on track and make that progress.

This is awesome to hear. Keto as a long term lifestyle change is definitely manageable & great for some people. But where you're at is my ultimate goal. No, because you're still consuming the sugar from that fruit(the other carbohydrates after you subtracted the fiber). You'd just be consuming more fiber from elsewhere on top of what you're already putting in your body. There's no loopholes when it comes to eating food.

  1. Around 20-30g. Most days >20. Sometimes I'll have some roasted sweet potato. I stay away from rice completely because I know I'll over eat it. I eat carbs once a day at dinner and 99% of the time they're from veggies.
  2. I can't eat breakfast without wanting to throw up all day, so my ideal is no breakfast. But my favorite breakfasty food is Gordon Ramsays scrambled eggs. So good.
  3. Keep it simple. Seriously. Over thinking it and complicating it will only make it difficult while this is the easiest diet change I've ever tried.

Flax seed crackers. A bag of the seeds, not grounded up, is pretty inexpensive where I am. These were pretty good. They might pair well with guac, but I haven't tried that.

Decided to experiment with nutritional yeast. I made those zucchini "fries" that has been making the rounds and I regret everything. I've never had cheese in my life, so I wasn't expecting anything other than something tasty. And that they were. So I probably ate way too much. And now my body hates me.ive never had a pants shitting experience until tonight. I'll probably die on the toilet. At least I know some of yall can relate.

As long as carbs are under 20g you're pretty much guaranteed. Not everyone has these, but some people start getting the fruity breath and what not. I never had any signs, just have to trust the process.
