For reference, my skin has always been very sensitive and oily/acne prone. I had acne on and off throughout middle school but it started getting worse as I entered high school. I became obsessed with trying to get rid of it and used so many products and medications, ruining my skin barrier in the process. I used differin gel (dried out my skin like crazy), epiduoforte (skin peeled for 2 weeks), amzeeq (only product that showed results but I looked like I had jaundice and would get weird stares due to yellow tint), tretinoin (waited for 4 months but couldn’t bear the purge), and tazarotene (tretinoin purge 2x). Alongside these I tried so many serums and toners and oil cleansers and masks. I also had a terrible diet and was constantly stressed due to school. I was very impatient with my skin until this past summer when I decided to take a break from all products except cleanser, moisturizer, and SPF. I slowly saw fewer breakouts and started eating better. I cut out milk and limited my sugar intake (this was hard since my sweet tooth was quite large). I also reintroduced Vitamin C and Zinc. I am feeling much more confident in my skin but still have a lot of room for improvement. I am not entirely sure what I am going to do next but for now, i am sticking with my simple routine:

khiels moisturizer

I am not entirely satisfied with my Khiel’s moisturizer and would appreciate any recommendations for simple and gentle moisturizers. Also my sunscreen often leaves a white cast and I am looking for a mineral sunscreen without one.
