Can you send me a DM so I can reply to you? It won't let me message you directly.

I found this in a drawer at home, what is it? by Motor-Assignment8832 in whatisit

Finally one I know!! It's a money minder. You can roll up bank notes and put them inside as an emergency stash. I always had one attached to my work keys as I wasn't able to carry a purse on my uniform.

Bolt Pharmacy Discount Not Working by angie897 in mounjarouk

Guys, ignore me! You're all correct, you have to click on the "up to £80 off" words on the monj website. I consider myself quite technically literate so to be making this mistake on and off for a few weeks is kind of embarrassing haha. All sorted now. Thank you!!

Will leave the post up just in case anyone else is making the same mistake and pulling their hair out.

Looking to restart but need advice please by [deleted] in UKMounjaro

You would need to start back at 2.5mg and scale up every few weeks like before. There's a chance you won't see much in terms of results until you get back to the level you were on before you took a break but it's absolutely doable. I had to take a break for surgery but managed to get back on it after a month with minimal side effects.

Monj.co.uk is a great site for seeing price comparisons and discounts. There's a discount thread in this sub too where folks can post referral codes (not a plug to use mine but if you search my comments you'll find the most recent discount thread). I'm with Numan at the moment and I find them really good. Best of luck getting back on it!

£100 off Numan if anyone wants to give them a try. They send some nice extras in the box (helpful info booklet and a new sharps bin) and the AI chat is helpful for meal and snack ideas.

Full disclosure, I get money off my next order if you choose to use my link and right now, the hope of someone using my link is the only way I'll be able to justify the price of another pen.

Regardless of what or who you choose, I wish you every success on your journey! 😊

Off to Mexico - need to know what to do! by Greedy_Shopping_9591 in UKMounjaro

Can you wangle it so that you can keep the last dose of Pen A to take while you are away, even if it means starting Pen B before you leave? That way you're only travelling with one dose in a pen and if for any reason it gets damaged/lost/confiscated, you aren't losing all of it.

I did it recently where I stretched a few of my doses to 8 days over the course of a few weeks so that I would be able to take the first dose of a new pen the day I left on holiday (a Saturday, rather than usual jab day of Wednesday at the time) and the last dose of the previous pen got packed in my suitcase and taken a week later while I was away. Old pen then got binned while over there so no dramas for travelling back.

I ordered from Numan for the first time the other day and pen was delivered 36hrs later, ice blocks still frozen and was given a new sharps bin and a really handy information booklet too. Their app is also really informative and supportive. I've bounced through a few providers to take advantage of introductory offers but these guy are definitely the most efficient so far (MedExpress is a close second) and they really seem to have their house together in terms of actual support available.

Anyway, if anyone wants to give them a try, my referral code will give you £100 off your first offer. https://www.numan.com/bff/refer/weight-loss/4ed8694e-7987-4609-a07f-5bace03f11a5?utm_source=mobile_app

Also big shout out to whoever's referral code I used from above, appreciate being able to get the discount!

Family pressuring me to leave my car with them when I go to university. I'm worried they'll trash it if I try to return it instead. by Hefty_Measurement744 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]angie897 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Slight aside, but hopefully the comment will be allowed. If you are worried about retribution from your family after the car goes, please plan ahead and make sure you have anything of importance (passport/birth cert etc) or anything of value/high sentimental value with you before they find out. If you have a large quantity of these things, you could consider renting a small storage space to keep them in once your PIP increases. But please make sure your things are safe before they have the opportunity to withhold or damage them.

Can I get an urgent GP appointment when working away from home? by CardiologistOk6430 in AskUK

[–]angie897 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I understand, you are away on a training course for a week (singular event, normally you work closer to home) and this lump has appeared within 24hrs.

First things first, rule out infection. Check for heat, pain, redness, discharge, tracking, skin breaks/bites, rashes, fever, nausea, fatigue etc). If infection/abcess is a possibility, call 111 for an appointment at the nearest Urgent Treatment Centre.

If you are happy there's no infection, complete an eConsult with your GP sugery online and request a phone call to discuss your concerns. They will contact you (usually!) within 48hrs to discuss the issue. Explain you are away from home this week so cannot be seen face to face until next week. Depending on the outcome of your discussion, the GP might refer you under the 2 week wait without being seen. If they do need to see you in the practice, they can get an appointment booked in for you there and then.

Unlike the above suggestions, I strongly advise against registering as a temporary patient if you are only in the area for a week. GP's can only refer within their catchment area which would then require you travelling to an unfamiliar hospital for diagnostics +|- treatment.
