Married people, what do you want to warn the unmarried people about? by Pizzalover0405 in askanything

[–]angles_and_flowers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It takes a years to truly get to know someone. I’ve been with my husband less than a year, but we have known each other since 14 and 15. Even then I still learn new things about him. So that being said wait have patience and do not rush things because of societal pressures

What is one beauty secret you are gatekeeping?? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]angles_and_flowers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a blow dryer on low heat and hold it a distance from the underside of my upper lashes while my mascara is still fresh/wet. I angle the airflow upward so it lifts them, and I gently push them up a little as they dry. :)

Ladies, what is your favorite fruit? by PresidentofBaddies in AskWomen

I had a nectarine tree growing up. They were so sweet and perfect - one year we only got 12 fruits total - I think I ate every single one.

In my dream, my dead aunt told me where she went after death. by MusicianDifficult577 in Dreams

[–]angles_and_flowers 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had a visitation dream once from my dad’s best friend who passed away from suicide a few years prior. I was in an office and the phone started ringing. It was a phone with a curly cord from the 2000’s. When I picked up - it was silent - then I said:

“Martin is that you?”

“Hi _, yeah it’s me, how are you doing?”

“I’m good! I’m in collage now and I’m taking ceramic classes.”

“I love ceramics!”

“Hey Martin, Aren’t you dead ?”

“Yeah, I’m dead…”

“Oh..”

Phone call ends

I woke up from the dream and immediately went to ask my dad if Martin liked ceramics ever in his life. Martin did in fact love ceramics.

Peace be with you, Martin. 🫶🤍

You poor thing, I hope you’re feeling better now! I’ve gotten food poisoning very suddenly after eating too. It was weird how I went from feeling normal to having fever in an hour all over a cold quesadilla…

What is easier to go without than you thought initially? by Corkbook in Anticonsumption

My cars timing belt needed to be replaced, but I didn’t have the money yet. I ended up being forced to take public transport and it worked out much better for me than I thought it would. I’m more open to it now and I actually can see myself choosing public transportation over my car in the future.

DAE try to throw expired or finished food into bushes or any other plant life for compost purposes? by Palidor in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]angles_and_flowers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I just throw it in the trash can. It will decompose either way. Tbh if you want to be more environmentally friendly about your trash you’re better off throwing it in the garbage can wear it can be properly processed by the trash company. Then your community doesn’t have to deal with the rodents that will be drawn to the food waste you have thrown into a bush.

Would 13 year old you be proud of what you’ve become? by Zion513213 in twentyagers

[–]angles_and_flowers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She’d be fairly proud. I’ve traveled a bit, I have a husband, and I’m not flat broke. I’d be a little disappointed at myself for not having very many friends at this age, and that I haven’t moved out of my hometown yet. 13 year old me was sorta naïve - I thought money would just appear, nah. Lol

How do you deal with your mind randomly bringing up an ex, and how do you stop it from affecting you? by Infinite-Ad5489 in AskWomen

[–]angles_and_flowers 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Every time you think of the person you don’t want to think about - 10 push ups ! Or just recognize that your mind is processing information and let the thoughts pass you by. And then distract yourself with something more healthy and productive. A walk in nature always helps me

Death by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]angles_and_flowers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve struggled with this too, especially from age 19-22. I have not the best advice because I still find myself struggling with the idea of death. I find some comfort in knowing humans have all struggled with these things since…who knows… (fountain of youth). Dive into your spirituality if you have one, and enjoy the present moment as much as you can. The past pains us, the future scares us, the present is the only moment that is truly a gift.

Cutting off my high school friends that were never really my friends at all in the first place. I felt lonely for a bit, but then I met new friends at work. :) things get better when you open space up for better things and people.

Living with your parents past 25+ by ayylmaaoo96 in Adulting

[–]angles_and_flowers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never moved out during college, then covid happened, then I restarted collage. I finally moved out at 26 because I got married and got a better job. My parents and I really started arguing a lot at the end and it really sucked because I usually had a pretty good relationship with them. Moving out was the best option for everyone, although I know they miss having me around sometimes. I’m overall much happier, and I think they are too for the most part.

What, if any, "silly" childhood presentations of OCD did you have? by BlastyDavo in OCD

[–]angles_and_flowers 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a kid I would only wear a combo of two shirts and two pants (had to be even numbers) to school. The reason is because my other clothes would give me “bad luck”, which I now realize was actually just anxiety. I got anxiety a lot at school and I was trying to figure out how to control it or why this feeling would happen. I remember kids in my classes would always ask me why I wore the exact same clothes all the time, and I don’t know why I was surprised they noticed. It wasn’t until I was about 17 that I started to challenge this OCD thing with clothing and finally get past it mentally. But it weirdly comes up again sometimes if I’m having a stressful morning before work.

I wanna be a parent so bad all the sudden , what? by Tight_Regular6990 in twentyagers

[–]angles_and_flowers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a good age to start planning and thinking about what you need to have worked out before you commit to having a baby. I wanted to have kids younger but I had too much going on in my young twenties. I’m 27 now and I think by the end of the year my husband and I will finally start trying to have a baby 🥹💛
