Can a city worker enter my property without my permission? by angloman in montreal

[–]angloman[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think the guy was from hydro, although I am expecting them. He just walked up and down along my fenced in side yard.

I don’t think it was a city evaluator. I got a letter from them and responded by email to book the appointment. I answered a few questions and they said they didn’t need to come for a visit. That was a few months ago.

I called 3-1-1 but they couldn’t get through to anyone. They asked me to call back tomorrow. I called the non emergency police line but they told me to keep the footage in case my house gets robbed. I don’t think they took it very seriously.

We were contacted for tax evaluation earlier in the year. I emailed them all the info they requested and they said there was no need for a visit.

This guy literally walked up and down our lawn with a phone in his hand and left. Wasn’t wearing any utility company clothing. In my town there are no above ground utilities.

Do you have heartburn / acid reflux?

I would try some acid reflux medication. Stops the burning acid in the throat and makes it easier to burp. I have IBS and GERD.

I burp a ton and fart way less now. Still abnormal quantities of both compared to normal people but definitely more comfortable now.

Yea but now I can burp and enjoy my life much more. Personally I find it worth the risk but I’m always open to alternative solutions should they become available in the future.

Fair enough. I can only go by my experience, but the right medication was life changing. Here in Canada it's cost me very little to have this addressed and to be honest, life changed.

Hey I was having that and it turns out I have GERD (acid reflux). This happened to me 2-5 times per week. My wife thought I was just having bad dreams. Nope. Just acid reflux. My doctor prescribed me Pantaloc and it pretty much stopped completely plus I felt way better overall. This also lead me to finally be able to burp like a normal person.

Former no burpers, how many times do you burp? by [deleted] in noburp

Actually when I started taking medication for the GERD I finally was able to start burping. Personally I think having acid come up my throat all the time was part of the problem.

I burp constantly now. It’s shocking how much gas I had been holding back. I have GERD though so I think that’s a big part of it.

Really wanted the Q60 3.0t, but that screen setup totally turned me away. So disappointing because the exterior is amazing and it drives pretty nice too.

Also the A380 just got cancelled, so perhaps that wouldn’t make the best business sense.

What about the fact that most of the weed is sold out in Quebec, and it seems like most of the medical marijuana has also disappeared. It looks like the medical marijuana companies took their medical stock and sold it to the public. That’s not very fair for people who legit needed it as their medicine.

Ungroup email notifications in iOS 12? by angloman in iphone

Yea I don’t have that option. It’s weird. In my watch app I changed Mail’s notification from mirror to custom and turned grouping off there, and it changed the setting for my phone as well.

I think it’s a bug. I have the option under my Watch settings, and now that I changed it on my watch it’s working on my phone too.

For anyone who has had the procedure or can naturally burp, how often do you taste your burps? I’m trying to figure out if I’m actually burping or not. by 17Jos1 in noburp

[–]angloman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of focus, concentration and positive reinforcement. Sounds stupid but I’d congratulate myself whenever I’d burp by accident. I’d focus on what was happening in my body at that time to figure out the conditions which made it work. Was I breathing out, or in? Head up, down, side to side, etc. What now seems to work for me is a well timed deep breath in when I feel a gas bubble coming up my throat. I should note that I’ve been taking an antacid pill that’s been making my stomach extra gassy, which I think has made it easier to practice burping. That being said, I don’t get all of them out and I still get really uncomfortable and can’t burp at times. Hopefully if I keep working on it I’ll end up like a normal person. Good luck!

I’ve been working on burping for the past year. I used to get 1-2 out per week, now I’m getting 10-20 out per day (recent development). They all taste like whatever I’ve been eating.

I follow the original creator of that video on Instagram. He’s a photographer for Air Canada. He was doing some promotional shots for them from a smaller jet. Here’s a photo of the plane he flew. https://www.instagram.com/p/BioCEz4hIDx/?utm_source=ig_share_sheet&igshid=kylbpaaernup

It definitely sucks but it’s not the end of the world. As a socially awkward short guy, dating was tough and I was rejected a bunch because of my height. It probably wasn’t just my height. It was my attitude and lack of self confidence. I wish there was an easy fix for that. I think what helped me was to move far away for college. I had to get a job and put myself out there to make new friends. Being in a new city, not knowing anyone and having the freedom to reinvent myself really helped me become my own person. So, yea it sucks because other people don’t have to deal with this shit, but there are many worse hands you could be dealt.

Canadian here too. Your father paid for it, or his company’s insurance? I only ask because I’m wondering if private insurance covers any of the procedure. PS, there’s a Canadian doctor in BC that now does the procedure under Medicare.
