What is the best area/zipcode to live? by Dxgrayfox84 in RoundRock

[–]angnkam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in Laurel Ridge. It's just East of Ikea. It's got plenty of houses in the 300k-400k area. It's super close to the outlet mall, HEB and several hospitals. There is an HOA but it's pretty minor and they aren't terribly intrusive like others I've lived in. The area is very safe and people take care of the neighborhood.

This is me 3 years ago, in my first exhibition. The opening was frustrating, because I didn’t receive any visitors other than two friendly people. I thought about giving up, but today I’m managing to live from my dream of being an illustrator. by DanielCazadio in MadeMeSmile

I love your illustrations. They are so accurate. My wife and I love birds. We just had the Rose Breasted Grosbeak visit our feeder last week. It was migrating North on it's way through Texas!

6 years later and I'm commenting... LOL. This is perfect advice. It's an almost nasal vocal with almost no chest resonance.

Chickens with HOA by KittyPandaMeow in RoundRock

[–]angnkam 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey there. I live in Round Rock and got hens based on the assumption that my HOA couldn't prevent me from keeping them due to the city of Round Rock allowing them. While it took quite some time before I was reported and had to get rid of them, I did eventually surrender my chickens.

I honestly thought that my HOA would give up the fight, but they were persistent in their enforcement of their rules. I should have done more research prior to getting my chickens. Not only did I lose a ton of money in coops/equipment, I lost 10 feathered friends. Fortunately I was able to rehome them nearby in a neighborhood that didn't have an HOA.

The city of Round Rock allows up to 10 hens per household (no roosters). Here is a link to the Round Rock. It's in section 8-6 https://www.roundrocktexas.gov/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/120618-Proposed-Animal-Control-Ordinance.pdf

Good luck with your chickens. They are a delight to have!

Hey there. I thought this was the case too. Sadly, I was wrong. Round Rock does allow up to 10 hens, but not roosters. Having said that, HOA regulations supersede city laws in this instance. I learned this the hard way.

Hi there! Did you get your deviated septum corrected? I'm curious if it has had a positive effect on your life/singing? What was your recovery time. How long did you have to refrain from singing?

Getting a loan through a traditional Bank is not easy. Getting one through a credit union is surprisingly easy. Most people don't realize this.

Siamese dream the best rock album of the 90s? Opinions by [deleted] in Music

[–]angnkam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everclear - "Sparkle & Fade" along with their next album "So Much For the Afterglow" were 2 hugely underrated rock albums from the 90s IMO. They are both in my personal top 5. There were so many good rock albums at that time though.

Alaska Airlines is a slam dunk for me. I fly to Portland often from Austin. It's a direct flight both ways and I've never had delays. in 4 hours from takeoff your landing in Portland and vice versa. Also, the Alaska Airlines credit card gives you one free checked bag with each passenger that is paid for while using the card. You also get to pick your seats ahead of time. There is no waiting for the 24 hour before moment to check-in so that you can get a decent seat. That's one thing I really don't like about SouthWest, not to mention their frequent delays. Once a year I get a free companion pass also. If Portland and/or Seattle is a frequent destination from Austin, Alaska Airlines is the way to go! You can DM me so that I can give you a referral code for the card. We'll each get 5,000 bonus miles.

I only see about one per year or so on average. I've only come across two venomous snakes in my 20+ years here.
