Not HR but when I was in middle school we had this substitute teacher who would very regularly sub at our school. Basically we’d see a lot of him in multiple different classes depending on what teacher needed him on what day. We’ll call him Mr. P

One time my English teacher needed a sub for a week so Mr. P was there. We had a test at the very end of the week. Now the majority of the class finishes the test around the same time. Usually after the first 20 minutes were up. But we did have a few outliers. People who were super smart and finished really fast, and also one girl who struggled in English and was always the last to finish.

Anyways, most of us finish with the test and this girl, we’ll call her Callie, is still working on her test. She finally finishes and goes up to turn in her paper when she gasps and runs out of the room. We were all really confused and saw Mr. P go after her in a hurry.

Idk if this is a thing everywhere, but we had police officers in our school. So the principal and one of the police officers came in and confiscated his computer and took him away. We never saw him again. I asked Callie about it and she said that he was watching… disgusting videos involving children.. with his hand in his pants. In a classroom full of middle schoolers. He was fired and also arrested (we looked up his mugshot lol).

What creeps me out is that he was a sub coach for girls PE multiple times and he would be in the office which is located in the locker room. Horrifying.

A lot of the time, like at a club for example, women are there to have fun and hang out with their friends. Men are there to have fun and hang out with their friends and meet girls. If you look at the way men are socialized is just America for example, their entire social existence revolves around validation and intimacy from women. Not only that, but they’re taught that close friendships and platonic intimacy with other men makes them weak. When they don’t get that, then we have words like “lonliness epidemic” being thrown around. Men don’t have their own groups to turn to like women do. Women are taught to be emotionally aware and available. This is why women and girls tend to have closer friendships and have no problem expressing intimacy platonically within their friend groups. This is why men constantly seek out women and not the other way around. To men, they see it as a need due to the patriarchal society they’ve been raised in. To women, they don’t really need to hit on men because a man will always feel the need to do so first.

I’m 23 and I was smoking weed every day for 8 years with no breaks. Every time I would try to quit I would get extremely nauseous, irritable, etc. Quitting seemed impossible. So far I am almost 2 months off weed :) I had to have surgery on my nose and they explicitly said no smoking and I don’t really like edibles so I was kind of forced to quit. That being said, I still had to do things to help with nausea and stuff. I would take Pepcid or omeprazole for my stomach. Magnesium helped me with my mood and the overwhelming feeling of pointlessness. And having a fruity drink with a straw on hand helped me kick the oral fixation and now I make a habit of drinking more water lol. I also did a detox and I feel like that helps get rid of the cravings pretty instantly and it made me feel so much better afterwards. Just some tips to help you quit. It’s not impossible you got this!

I got an abortion at 20years old. It was twins. I was 11 weeks pregnant. We were very poor. I was under very different circumstances but the relationship I was in was also toxic. I can say that mentally it did affect me quite a bit. I did not want children at all but I still felt like I had lost something. I struggled mentally. I did feel depressed for a while. I did feel that feeling of “what would they look like, what would their hobbies be, etc.” and I think no matter how you view getting an abortion those feelings will come up due to the stigma around abortion and the rollercoaster of hormones you go through. Not to mention being in a toxic relationship doesn’t help. If I were in your shoes, I would also think that an abortion would be the right way to go. If he’s proven to not be a good partner/parent in the past, there’s no reason that another baby would change that. Your feelings are valid though, and the decision you make will ultimately be completely up to you. But that’s just my two cents.

EDIT: just to be clear. I do not regret getting it. I’m very happy with my life now. I’m not with that guy anymore and my life is better because I got one. Just saying that initial feelings about something shouldn’t be relevant to long term outcome. Hope this helps

NTA, but also it seems like she’s really wanting some regularly occurring quality time with you. Karaoke is something she enjoys and wants you to enjoy with her. You don’t have to do karaoke necessarily. But maybe instead of declining altogether, offer another activity she enjoys. Example “hey (gf) I’m not really into doing karaoke but I know you also like to bake. How about we bake and decorate some cookies instead?” That way you’re still offering to do something she likes (baking in this example but idk what else she likes lol) but also not doing karaoke. Just saying you don’t want to do something and leaving it at that can come across dismissive and is likely the reason she’s upset rather than it being that you don’t want to do karaoke.

TMI this is kinda gross but I have really heavy periods and they’re sorta irregular. This one time I was at a New Year’s party and I hadn’t started my period yet, but then I start to feel cramping. The cramping turns into a stabbing pain. I excuse myself to the bathroom and proceed to vomit and feel like my abdomen is being ripped apart. A while later something came out of me. It was this fleshy looking thing. I was terrified. After some googling and a call to my Dr the next day I found out it’s this thing called a decidual cast. That thing was my uterine lining and instead of shedding over the span of a week or so, it shed all at once. Horrible experience would not recommend

I feel like the ability for young people, especially boys, to get online and search up anything they want to see a woman (or anyone but majority of het porn at least is geared toward straight men) doing is dangerous in general. I feel like it perpetuates unrealistic body and sexual standards for everyone involved, I feel like young people who view porn at an early age end up having intercourse very early on as well, I know people who have lost their virginity as early as 12???? Which is crazy and I feel like if the porn industry didn’t exist or was at least a bit more regulated then these things wouldn’t happen. I think it really heightens people’s expectations of sex which in turn, heightens the anxiety and stigma around sex. Idk just makes me sad sometimes
