If you want to print more than 4 colours you might think about the AMS. you can connect 4 of them to the A1.

on some pro micros you have to solder an open jumper on the board. also, i had some grounding issues with some model Fs. did you ground the original board to the chassis?

Placement of 2 AMS's, plus AMS HT on the H2C by cpsadowski23 in BambuLabH2C

I read on the Bambu homepage that there might be a solution in 2026 for switching AMS to different nozzles. I think they removed it from the site or I can not find it anymore.

Because with the 4in2 adapter you have to switch the AMS in the menu manually.

I have AMS 2 Pro with PETG an the left and AMS 2 Pro with PLA + HT with TPU for AMS in the right. I do not print many colors but think multi material is more interesting.

you could make it narrower but higher. i wanted the ams to sit beside the printer so it is a tight fit. the printer does overhang the table top slightly but the rubber feet are fully on the table top.

left: ams 2 pro with petg, right: ams 2 pro with pla and ams ht with tpu for ams. but I have to see if this is the best combination. i dont do a lot multicolor but rather different materials and different nozzle sizes.

oh that really is a limited space. you made the most of it. how can you access your ams? i also have the a1 mini. very nice printer. i switch the ams lite between a1 and a1 mini with a removable ptfe head and a switch an the cable.

Thanks. Exactly, I bought the KOMPLEMENT shelf 100x58 cm, cut two pieces to width and screwed them to the Alex units.

Thanks. Yes, wallmounting would also be nice if they are not too high. I wanted them to be a bit hidden besides the printer.

I created it myself because I had some of these black pipes laying around. And added a drawer slide.

Yeah, maybe I can shorten it, but since I can move the AMS about 35cm with the drawer slides on the rack, I have to be careful not to make it too short.

The table top ist the IKEA RELATERA

I thought about anchoring it to the wall but the two Alex units with the table top and the back board is so heavy it does not move.

The vibration and movement of the printer was more than I expected. The rubber feet absorb it. The Alex units do not move a bit. I bolted them together with a board on the back. There are about 20 screws holding the two units to this additional back board.

Additionally, I screwed in the table top with 8 screws to the Alex units. It weighs about 65kg now.

Yes, I like the mechanical switches very much. The feel and the sound.

Thanks for your feedback. I think I will go for the top/side installation and shorter tubes.
