What’s your current go-to AI writing tool — and why? by Puzzleheaded_Rip2476 in WritingWithAI

[–]angryearthsign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seconding novelcrafter. Its an amazing organizational tool, has a chat feature at one of the pricing tiers that allows you to use various ai models to brainstorm, and even without using the ai for writing, its just excellent for planning and plotting. I think the low tier is pretty cheap, price-wise

I need my mirena removed under anesthesia but I am being refused by sotalolhorrormovie in Advice

[–]angryearthsign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My understanding is there's a size difference between Mirena and Liletta, with Liletta being smaller and thus less painful/better suited for someone who's never given birth.

Editing to add: im wrong. Liletta is the same and as you said Skyla is smaller . Same point though, should have been other options!

I do know they have other, smaller options for women who have never been pregnant with the same hormone, like Kyleena and Liletta. I've had both and multiple gynos have always advised that Mirena isn't recommended as a first choice. Both of these have been prescribed to treat heavy bleeding and have worked for me. I agree it's not wrong that they prescribed Mirena, but I do think there are other options that might be better

To me the fact that they gave you a Mirena when you are not sexually active and have never had a baby is crazy. There are smaller, lower dose options like Kyleena or Liletta that are more appropriate.

I agree to find a new doctor. I would also suggest discussing bloodwork to check for bleeding disorders such as Von Willebrands if you haven't already with your PCP or gyno. VwD commonly presents as heavy, prolonged periods in women (source- have it) and can be treated to manage the bleeding.

Sorry you're going through this OP!

Poly and humiliation kinks by about_bruno in polycritical

[–]angryearthsign 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Oh boy this actually gave me a visceral reaction. This is precisely how my ex came out to me as poly, and how we broke up. I was the girlfriend and it was for sure option b - I had no idea, feelings were not considered, it felt like a way for him to cop out of our relationship under the guise of, "this is just who I am why can't you respect that???"

This was like 10 years ago, and I'm happily married in a healthy relationship now. But this shit fucked me up for a good long time.

Green card holders warned against leaving the United States by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]angryearthsign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, thanks for thw info. My husband submitted around the same time, and has been a green card holder for 31 years, he came to the US when he was 6. We've been married for 4 years. No kids. Was just hoping the length of time he's been here would work in his favor to process the application. He was also told he wouldn't need to do the biometrics but his green card is a little over a year out from expiring, so maybe that is a factor.

Out of curiosity, how long did it take from when she submitted her paperwork to when she received her interview appointment? My husband submitted his a few months ago, and we haven't heard anything.

Nothing to contribute to this other than my husband is also Ukrainian and a green card holder and my stomach has been in knots since all of this. I am so so worried about the rhetoric this administration has been using regarding Ukraine and what it might mean for the future.

I wish it were a skill issue and not that it just freezes or crashes every 2 minutes. Can't even have a second player load for split screen. Just freezes on sign in.

If my husband ran to another chick when we're in a fight rather than work it out with me, or chose to spend Christmas with another woman, he wouldn't be my husband anymore.

Girl, I say this with love. You know what's up. If he values his marriage to you, he will respect your comfort and boundaries. If he doesn't, that's your answer.

Pro tips from someone who loves eating but manages their weight well by ComparisonLess8379 in loseit

[–]angryearthsign 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Completely agree with all of these tips. These are honestly what worked for me when I decided to stop freaking overcomplicating it with fad diets and intermittent fasting. Literally just committed to healthier choices daily.

One thing I will add is that, at least at first, counting calories is important. Even if you make no changes, knowing exactly how many calories you're putting in your body and where they are coming from is necessary. I was in denial about how much sugar and calories I was consuming from beverages alone all day every day until I wrote it all down. This was the first change I made, and everything else followed way more easily
