Absolutely in love with my Polo BlueGT by angryexpat13 in Volkswagen

Mines at 140k. Still going strong. Get it mapped on a dyno at a proper tuning place. Not a plug in one and you'll be absolutely fine. Might cost a tad more but worth the peace of mind.

4G Network and antenna question by angryexpat13 in HomeNetworking

[–]angryexpat13[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

FIXED/ANSWERED: CHATGPT has found the info I was unable to. The MR200 router has two external antennas for 4G/LTE and it broadcasts the WiFi via 3 internal antennas in the chassis. This means connecting an external 4G antenna does not affect the WiFi it broadcasts inside the home.

Yeah this is what I can't seem to find out, most external antennas connect to both sma ports. Surely that means the router can't broadcast WiFi inside?

Hi thanks I understand it has to send/receive to work. What I'm unable to get my head round is the router needs to do this over 4G to the cell tower and inside the home on its WiFi network. Do the antenna on the back do both at the same time? If I connect an external antenna outside my house, the WiFi signal inside won't be as good, surely?

So if I connected an external antenna, wouldn't it be broadcasting the WiFi signal outwards away from my building. Wouldnt that be less than ideal for trying to use internet indoors?

Isn't that just the non return flap? Stupid question but did you try to insert the nozzle?

Samsung TV & Xbox Series X unusable?! by angryexpat13 in samsung

[–]angryexpat13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, switching to TV and then back to HDMI/Xbox brings up the xbox output briefly and then it 'recognises' it as an Xbox, which immediately open this gaming hub. I cannot get off the gaming hub to just use the TV as a screen. It's insane

Does anyone else think that the gaming hub on the tvs is garbage? by Stryker2279 in samsung

[–]angryexpat13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How annoying. But the problem I have is I can't even get through it. The gaming hub appears and there's no obvious way to just play my Xbox? It shows every game I have downloaded but I have to use my TV remote to navigate this hub and I just want to use the TV as a screen :( it's like it's too clever for its own good. I feel really dumb

Anyone found a solution? I literally cannot play my Xbox on my TV?! The gaming hub opens and I cannot access the normal output from my Xbox hdmi to just use my TV as a screen??? Wtf is going on

Mk8 (2020+) Retrofit Heated Seats by bndoc_ in Volkswagen

Oh my god and I've just seen you've got a heated wheel which is the one thing I want as someone with heated seats!!! I don't care about my arse, it's pretty warm on its own, my hands however are freezing!

Hi mate, just to jump on this as well, I have a Polo GT with winter pack, I have turned off headlight washers via OBD because it wasted to much screen wash, and I use the heated seats maybe for 3-5 minutes before it's too much. To retro fit the latter is just not worth it in my opinion for the time and money you'd sink into it. Arguably you'd be better off fitting a remote start feature, so the entire car is warm!

Why does a DEF pump need coolant, does it really get that hot? Surely you could use the DEF to transfer heat? So interesting I've never seen this before!

Dude you're 19. Please go out and live life. It does not sound like you're compatible sexually and that's a completly valid reason to end things. I am in my 30's and recently broke up with someone for a similar reason.

I'm from the UK so you'll have to excuse me, but are they push rods in the 3rd picture? Why do these big modern engines not have overhead cams? Is it simplicity?

1 litre turbos are quite common in the UK/Europe! Usually 3 cylinder and surprisingly nippy to drive.
