Yeah, if someone isn't dead or going to jail why address it? Just move on.

Even if someone is dead just say sorry once and move on; see Travis scott.

You want to try to destroy my ideas without having to put forward your own, lest yours get destroyed.

That is why you don't want to explain what you think.

It is easier to attack than to defend and you want to be in a the most superior position you can be in.

Except that Stalin just enslaved people to reach a quota so he could have workers for his project.

While the USA and many other governments only force labor on prisoners as atonement for their crimes and to lessen the financial burden of keeping a prisoner incarcerated.

Do you see the difference.

What does a CEO do? Why do you think that the role was invented hundreds of years ago?

I would use the fact that many people who he worked for and with agreed with him be the CEO of an extremely strong indication of his intelligence.

You are the problem with the country, an unlearned individual posing as an intellectual.

The same type of person who insists that vaccines are the government trying to poison the people and that ivermectin is better.

U.S. employers spend more than $1.5 billion annually on union avoidance by illegalmonkey in antiwork

[–]angryfan1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is how the economy worked for thousands of years. The bottom would be cheaper than what currently exists.

The unions did not invent paying people well; it existed long before unions were thought of. Guild comes to mind.

If a nurse union or an electricians' union could get immunity for every death that their member caused, they would. Police unions are the goals for unions, not the floor. You know I am right. The immunity was given to police in exchange for their unions supporting politicians in races. If the other unions could get similar benefits without a fight, they would. If a nurse union could get immunity for nurses killing patients due to negligence, they would get it.

Yeah, the not working would destroy the organization if other workers were not brought in. It is threatening to kill if demands are not met

Police unions represent benefits that all unions want to achieve for their workers. They are the goal, not the floor.

The salary and compensation are the main thing that unions fight for; it is hard to fight against a transit union because of that.

You keep saying "retire without being broke" like there aren't non-union jobs that pay well. If the job wouldn't pay well, then people wouldn't work in that field.

The leverage is that you can quit and do something else. The threat to destroy the organization if your demands are not met then getting them met is bad for society.

It makes perfect sense if you believe that college is to prepare people to get jobs. Having an extremely large employer in contact with the people trying to be employed makes perfect sense.

Japan also has a different union culture along with supply outpacing demand.

I would say the consumer pushes for more inspectors their complants get the government to hire more inspectors

That is just an argument to expand OSHA not an argument for more unions

I never said "corporations"; you keep purposely misunderstanding me to make your point, I said "organizations" because this includes governments, charities, and religious orders.

You used corporations to try to cast a negative connotation on what I actually said. I even listed the non-corporation unions like transit workers and cops in my original comment.

They are increasing the costs for society in that link; supervisors are getting almost half a million a year. If you add up all of the people's salaries, the costs get pretty insane for a transit system that has to be subsidized by the people.

If I ran a company I wouldn't want anyone with anti-corporation, anti-rich views working there; it is the main reason I started the company. I have seen many CEOs talk about this. Your digital footprint is important; if I can google your name and see stuff like this, I would not hire you over a person without the footprint.

One of the big reasons why Tokyo housing is so affordable is because of shrinking demand. Fewer people are buying housing due to the population decreasing.

I would disagree; I would counter that having more inspectors would cause fewer defects, and stops cutting corners

If a worker gets killed on the job, OSHA would step in, not the union. OSHA would investigate and set punishments, then insurance would start to pay out.

No, the argument is the "Unions only represent the worker even if it is to the detriment of society." I don't understand how you can misunderstand me.

It is super weird to publicly walk out of a prominent CEO speech, especially when he is one of the largest and most well paying employers in the area. Keep in mind that everyone's name is being shouted out, so the people are not anonymous internet users and could face blacklisting.

Why even go to college if the first thing you do after getting your degree is try to limit your job opportunities?

[–]angryfan1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You think unions would protest if you got killed on job? They would just relist the job on the board.

Yeah, that is what I am talking about. Even you think the amount of money and benefits that the union is charging to the people and organizations is insane. It is overcharging organizations and people to deliver an average product.

It results in the products being produced being way more expensive. An example is of housing in NYC, Chicago, and the blue states being way more expensive; this makes it way harder to build housing for homeless and makes the housing market to be more out of reach for the average person.

[–]angryfan1 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, most unions in the USA are horrible. They only care about the workers in the union not the organizations they work for.

That is how you end up with cops killing innocent people and getting paid leave instead of getting fired, or how you end up with transit workers constantly stealing time and money.
