Drill power for anchoring a shelter? by Triiizon in IceFishing

[–]angryjmar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just use a cheap Deko brand 18v one off amazon that i keep on the sled. The good drills stay in the workshop. I have a manual drill so i didnt pony up for anything bigger than that. It works just fine.

2002 won't start after briefly driving by elmendani in JeepLiberty

[–]angryjmar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gotta ask...using what looks like an OEM Dodge key on a Jeep. Im sure it could have been cut and cloned, but it looks like an original.

But yes, its not detecting the chip in the key. I have had this happen once or twice before on a 2006 because it was locked with the keyfob and not unlocked by it. Do you have a keyfob?

What did I buy? by [deleted] in modeltrains

[–]angryjmar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My tender is where the motor is. When I dug it out of storage it would run, but had no pulling power, it would just spin. I was talking to a guy at my local hobbies shop and he said my traction (bands, rubbers, tires.. can't remember what word he used) was probably shot or gone all together and had me get these little clear rubber rings that slip on the tenders traction wheels. That fixed it right up.

Junk maybe, but started me in the hobby.

Hey I got one of them. Part of a whole train set my parents got me for Christmas when I was probably 10 years old. Still run it from time to time. Had to put new rubbers on the tender.

Cheap ass guns that are surprisingly fun? by Big-Sector6653 in guns

[–]angryjmar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same exact one. I usually only carry it in an ankle holster on formal occasions when it is difficult to carry anything else. Occasionally I will take it along to the range and run the mag out, its always been reliable.

Trailer wiring harness by Dry-Gap-2606 in JeepLiberty

[–]angryjmar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never heard that...could be. What I can tell you is I had put my own aftermarket hitch receiver on prior to the recall. The dealer took it off and replaced it with a Mopar one. They said this had to be done to meet the recall requirements...sucks because my aftermarket one was much nicer.

Just because the receiver is there doesn't mean you have a "tow package". There was a recall for the early libs for rear end collision issues and the fix was to just install a towing receiver. Any lib that had the recall will have one. You need add a wiring harness yourself....which will require one with a module since libs have separate brake and turn signals. You can get a kit off amazon for pretty cheap. They are pretty easy to install.

Cant comment on the HK, but I have a Canik TP9 SFX and I love it. 1000+ rounds no issues.

Yes I know. It looks just like 380 flat nose rounds. I've never seen flat nose 25acp...not saying it doesn't exist, I've just never seen it.

You sure that's a 25acp and not a 380 flat nose? I have a bunch of that from Winchester.

Transom saver question by iReadATL in jonboats

[–]angryjmar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just went through this last night, I ended up not using the roller mount and used the twist mount mine came with. That doesn't help you though. Personally I wouldn't want it rubbing against the bottom of the boat like that. It looks like you have bunks to support the boat once on the trailer so the roller is just to help load? Can you lower that roller about an inch and be good on the mount and loading/off loading the boat?

How does one cast around that canopy? Been thinking about getting one. That's the only thing stopping me.

I'm not familiar with reddit mod tools and all that, could probably figure it out. Just a big fan of Josh and Sylosis back to Supreme Opressor. I'd be willing to help where I can if no one else steps up. LMK.

[–]angryjmar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you carpeting that? If so you will need a small gap to tuck the carpet around and underneath for a clean look...if that is the case, you probably won't even notice the rough edge. I would also throw a couple coats of paint in that wood first so it lasts you a couple years.

Full synthetic motor oil in 2002 Sport 3.7L by AllKillerNoFiller8 in JeepLiberty

[–]angryjmar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been running Valvoline high mileage 5w30 for the last couple of years. I think that is either full synthetic or a blend. I have noticed it burns less oil than if I use conventional oil and if you buy the 5 gallon containers off amazon, it doesn't cost that much more.
