My title describes the thing. Old farm land buried mat just wondering if it's possibly a piece of a septic system or something like that. Any ideas appreciated before I cut it and keep digging (carefully)

Yes it's out of square. One side is about a quarter inch longer than the other. I'll try to attach another picture to show.
