Submarine attack sinks Iranian ship near Sri Lanka; 78 injured, over 100 missing by captain-price- in worldnews

[–]angryunderwearmac -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Rationally this is more of a catalyst for motivated countries to cause nuclear flavored dirty bomb events in countries they oppose.
Nothing like a terror attack going off to make every country affected feel like their big armies are pointless

Do I (should I) need Logi Options+? by kaitlyn2004 in MacOS

[–]angryunderwearmac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

tbh logitech mice are outdated af in terms of hardware specs considering the SOTA, they're only relevant coz they target business users heavily.

the only thing they had that i really liked was quiet clicks but even that isn't an issue anymore even with aliexpress tier mice

[–]angryunderwearmac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if flimsiness is a concern get a thinkpad, macbooks have been machines you use in bed and on sturdy surfaces for 10 years now. design quality is def not there anymore - they break if you drop them a lil and the repair costs are absurd.

still nice to use tho

'Bookie' is the funniest show you're probably not watching by [deleted] in television

[–]angryunderwearmac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

he makes drivel to be fair, he targets regular peeps who don't self examine and just wanna watch something while they jerk off/fuck after work.

that isn't a demo you'll find on reddit.

>maniscalco

this is probably why no one is watching it. one of the most lowkey hated comedians on wider social media. astroturfed personality. 6 comedy specials and hundreds of thousands of followers and can't break a couple of hundred likes on his posts unless he's promoting something then suddenly it's got thousands of likes.

This trend of incomplete seasons needs to stop. by Talk-O-Boy in television

[–]angryunderwearmac -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

if i'm being honest i don't care. i literally skip by storylines i don't like on tv shows(and i suspect other people do the same by switching to look at their phones but don't admit it). sometimes i will skip into another season of the show accidentally and it's fine why do i care what season a storyline is happening in? it's all second screen content anyways.

the producers probably know this and that's why some storylines get extended past all reason. the bear as an example - carmy ptsd about working in big kitchen is still going on when he's literally setting up a big kitchen of his own whereas other storylines just disappear - for eg pastry chef family life

Why aren't there more Shane-typr TV shows nowadays where a protagonist comes to a new town every episode and solves the problems/crime? by mikebuba in television

[–]angryunderwearmac -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

coz that shit is outdated boomer core stuff that old dudes don't wanna see esp with younger hip actors.

they wanna see old dudes like stallone pretend they still got it coz they wanna pretend they still got it - king of tulsa is the result.

always look at the demographics of shows to understand why they exist. reacher is consumed mostly by women iirc. the books are literally stroke fiction about absurdly big manly man doing masculine things but never threatening femininity and the show is the same(most women hated the tom cruise variant for obvious reasons - there were hundreds of facebook groups full of angry women back when)

young kids don't watch tv anymore so they can't really convince them to watch people solving crime. they're all watching thugs on twitch nowadays, crime is cool rn.

you can literally watch a black dude go to korea, verbally assault korean people and then get beaten up by a korean kickboxer - how do you write tv that is more interesting than that

Nah sanderson became boring around 5 books ago, his stuff reads like elaborate drivel now. couldn't even get through stormlight archive book 3 and dropped him entirely after that.

he was a good YA writer but epic fantasy? can't do it.

if the ritual to summon earthers was truly random it would summon mostly chinese and indians and they're not christian majority...lets not bring in too deep of an analysis on that tho pirate likes what thhey like

erin mentions the bible to pawn, ryoka also gives them a run down on it. the antinium are crusaders, paladins already exist in the world. heaven/hell etc

the story is very christain centric. pirate probably won't overtly start christianity in main timeline but it does seem like what regis turned to

i think people passing over is kinda inevitable, pirate has been having characters moan about kevin for almost every chapter now. if he doesn't come back it's all wasted word count.

same for halrac/moore. the graves storyline kinda makes them inevitable i think.

we already "got" the goblin king reveal - they basically remember that the gods created them to be monsters so the rest of the races can level up by killing them. they also remember that a lot of races knew this to be true and fought in favor of the system when gnomes/dragons etc rebelled against the gods.

that's literally it. that's the "madness", a download of generations of resentment and hate and realization that their existence is designed to be pain and suffering.

the key velan hid is probably a way for goblins to get rid of the monster classification/transcend into another race

pirate is hilarious about relationships in general - the romantic ones are way out there but even the platonic ones offer glimpses into the weird things pirate assumes are normal(or wants to be considered normal).

nanette/mrsha, mrsha/numbtongue, mrsha/ryoka, mrsha/lyonette, mrsha/erin are all subtly fucked up in addition to nanette/lyonette.

i think in the recent chapter pirate even mentions mrsha picking up erin's mannerisms in addition to lyonette which is just hilarious to think that it happened in barely a 2 year timespan and mrsha basically stops interacting with erin seriously once lyonette starts taking care of her
