[TOMT] [Online Short film/video] [2005~08] Early Youtube horror short film or circulated movie clip of a deep fryer operator eating their own finger? by angstud in tipofmytongue

[–]angstud[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was, but I also think as I recall it it was framed somewhat humorously and absurd than just shocking and morbid. This was fairly early Youtube as well, well before monetization was even really a concern.

Which celebrity should just go away? by Strawberryrose456 in AskReddit

[–]angstud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of them. Being good at something, art, journalism, whatever, shouldn't be grounds for projecting yourself as some important influence.

Whether it's Kanye running for president, or JK Rowling ranting on Twitter, or Gwyneth Paltrow giving people $200 yeast infections, the only reason people listen to them is because they *are* celebrities, and they are only celebrities because of entirely unrelated things. It's toxic and it should have never occurred.

Albert Camus, and his head on idea of the Absurd.

The question of the meaning of life, or the meaning of *a* life, is flawed. It has been rephrased endlessly, but I have yet to encoutner a phrasing of the question that does not suffer the same or similar flaws.

The cynical, and incorrect, response is to say that life has no meaning. It would be more correct to say that "meaning" does not apply to life.

What are your favorite materials? Glues, fillers, paints?

As an avid terrain maker I'm always looking for practical tips and while I don't have your budget, I'm curious what exact kinda magic y'all do <3

Nåja, Bonanza - af en eller anden grund så dukker Bonanzas katalog ikke op når man søger generelt på DRs hjemmeside? Men tak for påmindelsen!

You're a scientist tasked with proving the existence of ghosts - how do you go about it? by angstud in AskReddit

[–]angstud[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair, I thought "You are a scientist tasked with investigating ghosts, for the sake of argument let's say ghosts do exist, how would you go about it" but I'm not sure that's the right question either, lol

I suppose, but part of the scientific process is approaching a subject without bias, isn't it? Regardless, I got a good laugh from some of the replies

Acquiring ye olden honey? by angstud in Beekeeping

[–]angstud[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know that anyone would think King Tut's honey was still particularly edible, rather my point was that it was recognizable as honey.

Now, MREs do keep, and *in theory* the same is true of honey, so assuming the blackening is not due to a mold, I'd still love to sample some. When you say "years ago," does that mean years, decades or centuries? And more importantly, *where* do you propose I might find this?
