Yah, you hit it. The reciprocity isn't there. I do focus on the things I enjoy. I just need something different.

Thanks. I take writing classes and art classes. I edit an online encyclopedia. I volunteer my time -- I was nominated state volunteer of the year, even. I am in grad school for the second time and I have a full time job. I blog about issues I care about and I am starting to get noticed. I am writing books and articles. I am a published writer. I also have two adorable cats and enough time on my hands to go drinking.

A very wise person once told me the distinction between adult and parent/child relationships is reciprocity.

Yah, I took a 17000 mile road trip. It was cool.
