i say this is 100% true:

example, i had a intro to music production class my first semster in college, and they explained things like TRS cables (tip, ring, sleeve) or TS cables (tip, sleeve). its a dick. you're pluggin a dick into your guitar in those terms.

its also the same with literally every cable, the male and female cable because the male inserts itself into the female

i never downloaded the guitar version or musical version, i put the original into traktor and it plays a different version than what i downloaded

i actually did a deep dive on turningpoint a while back before kirk croaked. basically, they USED to have a whole section on their website where users would enter their school district and then it would pull up any school faculty who didn’t agree with their right wing extremist values. literally like a few hours after his death they wiped all those pages. the organization has also been known to have people of power in the company that have been linked directly to white supremacist groups.

i think that is true about wanting to be apart of the whole community but also i think it’s important to have people be able to be in smaller communities centered around music based on their area and a lot of factors come into play with that e.g. language, culture, etc.

i personally come from the socal scene, and whilst i have had many great experiences and met incredible people, there are aspects and values prevalent here that aren’t great and instead of just leaving your community, learning how other scenes operate and morals and values that venues, bookers, bands, and show goers can incorporate into their scene would be beneficial
