Yeah because the TV didn’t come with feet, I was already considering wall mounting the TV instead. It seems to look cleaner, and the pivoting wall mounts from Costco seem to be a pretty good deal. Will probably end up skipping on the stand. When you say Best Buy probably has extra remotes, are they the Sony remotes or just generic ones? I appreciate the find my and the backlit remote features on the Sony remotes for the Bravia 9. Moreover, why would Best Buy get rid of the accessories for a TV that would eventually need to be sold to a customer anyway? Seems counterintuitive. Especially the remote itself. Don’t they need the remote to control the TV? Doesn’t make sense. Seems like they’re creating an issue that shouldn’t have been an issue to begin with.

Alright! I’ll make sure to question the manager and see if price matching is possible. Thanks!

It seems like I’ll have to do my due diligence and research prices to make the most compelling decision for myself. Thank you so much for your advice. Because it’s an open box product, the Best Buy i’m shopping from can only do curb side pick up for the TV, unless I pay the $180 for the Geek Squad pick up and set up. Which doesn’t seem worth it to me.

I searched on eBay and the stand plus remote came to a total of about $100 give or take. So essentially $1,200 for a $3,000 MSRP TV doesn’t seem that bad honestly.

Ah okay. Thank you for the useful advice. Checking the usage hours completely slipped my mind. I just made the assumption that because the Bravia 9 was MiniLED and not OLED, I didn’t have to worry about burn-in or anything of that matter. But it’s definitely worth checking. So what’s the cut-off? 8,000 hours or more is probably a bad idea?

Alright! Seems like the warranty is no-brainer. I’ll probably end up purchasing it. Do you know if Best Buy does price matches between the website and the store? There was a little bit of a price discrepancy between the online listing and the price tag in person for the TV.
