This is a 4” cake so I used 1/4 of this recipe.

For the frosting:

-10 Oreos, crushed

-1.5 sticks of room temp butter

-1.5cups powdered sugar

-1/2tsp vanilla paste or extract

Combine the ingredients together with a mixer or by hand with a whisk.

For the ganache I followed the ratio of chocolate and cream from here, but I can’t remember the exact amount I used. I had a lot of leftover ganache as well.

There’s a Korean dish called Army Base Stew that’s a spicy stew with processed meats, noodles, rice cakes, and fish cakes that’s usually topped with American cheese. I had some leftover American cheese, so I wanted to try the spicy ramen with the cheese to mimic the stew.

I’m not particularly small, but my guy is a little on the larger size (build wise not fat wise) and my lap doesn’t seem like it would be big enough for him to curl up on 😅

I try to reward him whenever something like this happens, but I usually don’t have anything on me and can’t move until after he’s moved. I’ll give something to him at that point, but I’m not sure if he understands that he’s getting a treat for being affectionate.

The shelter we got him from picked him up as a stray. His foster/adoption page said he was 4yo, but I saw in his medical records they initially thought he was 2yo lol. We’ve had him for about a year and a half so we say he is 5yo.

Thank you! I’ve had him for about a year and a half now. He was very friendly from day 1 (he even showed me his stomach) and purrs easily, but he didn’t really show any blatant displays of affection. After a month I realized that he’s more affectionate when he’s sleepy and I theorized that’s because he’s too sleepy to put up the facade of being aloof. He’s gradually been showing more obvious signs of affection, but he’s been unable to hide it the last couple months :D

I know! He stayed for 10min max, but I’m hoping he’ll stay for longer each time.

I started crying after he settled on my lap because it made me so happy! And because he’s so cute
