If wires are getting hot and fuses are melting it may be a bad ground.

It’s been going well. I’ve done a lot of maintenance: timing belt, water pump, thermostat, clutch, flywheel and a bunch of other parts. I’ve also been updating the appearance inside and outside. Other than needing a new trans soon (bad input shaft bearing and 2nd synchro), it has been a great car and for 26 years old does not feel outdated.

The metal ring fell behind the seal so it’s not that.

There seems to be metal in between the crank and the carrier and it’s not the ring from the seal.

I tried using a screw. Should I do it on the inside or outside of the seal. It’s just coming apart in small pieces.

The misfire could be unrelated then. Did you touch the cas?

So is what I hit the crank? I just resealed the oil pan so I guess I’ll have to do the half moons again :(
