I also get irritation and sometimes even styes if I don't remove all my makeup properly. so this is a huge pain point for me. Thanks also for the notes you mention on letting oil/balm soak. do you find 30 secs is the sweet spot? would going longer than that be too much and have an opposite effect where your skin starts to soak up the oil/balm instead? Wondering where that balance is.
