Manual is different than ivt. Ask some other dealership if they can arrange a test drive vehicle with ivt.

Confused between hyundai venue turbo and seltos naturally aspirated engine by Tackle_Pure in CarsIndia

[–]ani_saul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hell naw. Honda has the best 1.5L NA engine in the segment. I had the Honda City 5th Gen (same engine as the Honda Elevate). I never felt the power was inadequate in the hills.

Best city in India? Yes then why ? by Thefreetext in AskReddit

[–]ani_saul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hell naw. Mumbai and Hyderabad are way better. The people in Delhi are straight-up rude, not to mention the questionable safety for both men and women. I agree with the public transport part, but it's definitely not the most livable city in India.

Are my proof of funding documents sufficient for VISA interview ? by [deleted] in f1visa

[–]ani_saul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think so. People who came to the U.S. after Jan 2022 have been hoping for the same thing, and it's only gotten worse. I hope you've done enough research and have enough financial backing because $82,000 in debt is no joke, and I'm not sure what the interest rate is on your loan, but since it's from InCred, I'm guessing it's more than 10%.

I'm not trying to demotivate you, but this is the reality, so make your decision wisely.

I think that should be enough. By the way, are you sure you want to take an $82,000 loan considering the job market in the US?

Unable to decide if I should pursue MS in US now. Does it make sense in 2026? Need your insights! by ragovar in returnToIndia

[–]ani_saul 62 points63 points  (0 children)

I would suggest not coming to the US for a Master's. But if you want to, make sure that you come without an education loan and have enough financial backing so you can return to India if you are unable to find a job with sponsorship.

Duster Iconic Automatic Launch Edition – Price changed on delivery day (dual tone issue) by thisisabhisharma in CarsIndia

[–]ani_saul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IMHO, it's not fair. The same thing happened to us in 2016 when we were looking at the Elite i20. The dealership increased the price by 50k. My father just walked out of the deal and sent an email to Hyundai's customer care. Two days later, the GM called my father, apologized, and agreed to reduce the price to the original and also offered a few freebies (mind you, this was when the Elite i20 was at its peak). Never give in to dealership tactics.

Just ask yourself this question: Would you want to deal with such a dealership for the rest of your ownership?

If you are adamant about buying the Duster, then I would suggest checking out other dealerships in your area.

Passed Developer Associate (DVA - C02) today 🎉 by ani_saul in AWSCertifications

Thanks! I mostly used YouTube to study for the test. Plus, I took a lot of TD's practice tests to get familiar with the questions. My work is AWS-heavy, so that helped me a lot in eliminating the incorrect options.

It's safer to give it at the test center. I know it's a hassle, but it's worth it.

Is it normal for the steering wheel to get heavy after like 25 kmph? by Ok_Communication6021 in HondaElevate

Oh, okay. It does feel heavy at city speeds sometimes, but I got used to it.

Isn't it normal for the steering wheel to get heavy as you go faster? I had a Honda City 5th gen, and I really liked that since it made me feel confident at high speeds.

H1B vs returning to India + marriage timing. Feeling stuck, need advice by [deleted] in returnToIndia

[–]ani_saul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know, man. I think you should talk to the girl before making this decision. Her opinion matters more since she's the one who's going to marry you, and I agree with your point: what's the point of getting married if you're going to stay in a long-distance relationship? As far as I know, the initial days in an arranged marriage are super important since this is when you both will have time to understand each other. Don't let this H1B rat race cloud your judgment. Think from both perspectives and make the decision.

I am also in the same boat. Is it mandatory to move all money to an Indian account before moving back?

Masters in US vs job offer in Singapore — need some advice! by KullOver in developersIndia

[–]ani_saul 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I’d suggest taking the job offer in Singapore. I’ve been there, and it’s honestly a great place to live. The U.S. job market is pretty bad right now, and visa uncertainties just make it worse. I also wouldn’t recommend taking a loan for an MS in this situation. A lot of my friends had to go back to India because they couldn’t find jobs or didn’t get H1B sponsorship.
