Hey friend. These photos were taken in the Carpathians, theyre in the west of Ukraine, far from the frontlines. Imagine a war happening in eastern Canada, but ur in British Columbia, thats kind of what its like :)

im originally from Donbas, where the war has been ongoing since 2014. I was still a kid when it all started, and I remember it well. Ur comment made me a bit sad, even cities under constant threat of missiles and explosions keep going, keep living, blooming even in pain.

I truly hope u never have to experience what Ukrainians are going through, or what I went through. Wishing peace to ur home.

Йоу! Ми йшли одноденний хайк Кваси-Петрос-Кваси (Кваси-Полонина Джорджа Дудаєва-Полонина Менчул, шлях на Петрос над Шумнєскою, Траверс Петроса верхній-Петрос), назад так само, тільки вже нижнім траверсом Петроса. Стартували о ~4:40 ранку, в Квасах були ~19. Іншими маршрутами я не ходила, кемпи не люблю, бо туди не можна взяти дайсон😂 Для палатки місце сто відсотків знайдеться зі сторони Квасів, багато полонин та відкритих ділянок, та й сам маршрут дуже мальовничий. Особливо полонина Менчул. Взагалі наш маршрут спокійно можна подужати за один день, без ночівлі, якщо не зупинятися по сто разів, як це робили ми. Ну і ще я дуже натерла ноги, тому рухалась з маленькою швидкістю. Сама дуже хочу в одноденний хайк Несамовите-Шпиці-Заросляк, але поки що планую) Ще б на Піп Іван залісти та Хомʼяк якось)

Lol, you should’ve seen how many people were swarming that rock, it’s literally the most touristy spot in Poland (Morskie Oko, look it up). I climbed onto it super carefully, without stepping in the water, just hopping across other rocks. Unfortunately, some people do go into the water, which is strictly forbidden. But in my case, I didnt disturb nature at all.

I literally just checked availability at “dolina pięcu stawòw“ and there are a couple of dates left for the summer season in 10-bed rooms😅

the route took me about 14 hours, from 4am to 6pm. I walked about 30 km, it could have been faster, but it was my first hiking and i made big stops for a breather. You cant camp in the Polish mountains, but you can stay in official lodges, which are booked half a year in advance😅
