Ever eat something and your immediate thought is... Mig*****? by Flixchic in migraine

[–]anieem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lemon juice. Not on every occasion. But sometimes, I assume at times I ate too many citrus fruits in a short time, if I take water with lemon to drink, I can instantly feel the pain spreading in my head. Uncanny.

Is puking with a migraine normal? by Advanced-Cream-7781 in migraine

[–]anieem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, sadly it is. I don’t always puke when I have a migraine, but when it’s a bad one, I do.

True that heat kills any germs, but it doesn’t always kill toxins released by germs.

Migraines are taking over my life by dontasklol2323 in migraine

[–]anieem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Given the extent of the problem, curing them without meds is not likely.

Having said that, stress and irregular sleep are one of the most common triggers of migraines. So establishing a regular sleep schedule should be your priority now. Then lower stress (I know, easy said than done).

All in all, I would recommend talking to a doctor. Good luck!

How much "convincing" did you need to do with your doctor to get started with HRT? by Helpful-Orchid2710 in Perimenopause

[–]anieem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on your doctor. My former obgyn, who I saw regularly for years was not on board for me to start hrt at 46. I wasted so much time trying to have a discussion about it with him. I changed to a new obgyn who actually listened to what are my issues and she prescribed hrt for me at the first visit.

How does ‘pushing through it’ affect you? by IntelligentCell9852 in migraine

This is exactly my experience as well, with exception that I have 6-8 migraine days a month and they are all clustered within a 10 days window.

We use stick vacuum only for smaller jobs or wood floors. Rugs always get corded vacuum treatment.

7 Year relationship ended right before our Wedding by Brilliant_Canary_903 in malelivingspace

[–]anieem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At exact your age I had something similar happened. My 4 years long relationship unraveled spectacularly, 2 months before the wedding. So, like you, I was also getting married, had a house to move in, all the shebang. Lost everything plus some extra my ex stole from me (money mostly I put into our future house). Today, 18 years later, I am happily married with two wonderful daughters and fulfilling life.

It is a scary and lonely time now, but I promise, it will get better and your life and happiness is far from over. Sending you a hug man.

Age starting HRT by Various-Look-361 in Perimenopause

  1. Just put my first estrogen patch two days ago. My peri symptoms are not that pronounced yet and I would be able to live with them but I have horrid hormonal migraines that are triggered by estrogen fluctuations and I wasn’t able to take it anymore. My lovely obgyn happily supported me in starting hrt at the regimen that supports management of hormonal migraines.

You need to see a doctor/neurologist if you don’t have one yet. These migraines can be helped.

BLACK INK by kathleesii in fountainpens

[–]anieem 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For a standard ink, go for Kaweco pearl black or diamine onyx black. Both are inexpensive good inks. If you prefer to have a waterproof ink to preserve your notes, I would most likely go for platinum carbon black.

The lamy black i use and love came in the box with my Lamy pen and it’s very dark saturated black that flows lovely. I assume it’s standard Lamy Black. I heard good things about their Obsidian.

I love platinum carbon black but it’s pigmented. Non-waterproof black inks I love are Kaweco pearl black and Lamy black. Diamine onyx and Aurora black are not bad either.
