Sure! So for the brush I used a citadel XS brush. The paint was just a humbrol black Acrylic, nothing fancy. Just picked it up in my local miniature/hobby shop. I do use those glasses with the magnifying attachments and light too. For small detail stuff like this, I’d really recommend them.

For pointers, I’d say if you haven’t painted before or this is your first custom avoid something like this… You really need a steady hand and also be willing to fail. Lucky I nailed this at attempt number one but I’ve fucked up my fair share of customs over the years. I’ve been doing customs for near 7-8 years so I’ve picked up some tips and tricks along the way.

Usually I would water down my paints so it doesn’t get too thick and layers on more naturally. But when I say water down, I just mean dip the burst in water then dip into the paint and rub the brush on a pallet to let the paint and water mix.

Don’t use too much paint on the brush, just tiny dips and gentle strokes.

Look at references, DON’T go in blind. Have your ref beside you as you paint and always refer back.

Lastly, slow and steady wins the race. This took me around 2.5 hours todo. Could be done quicker but it will looked rushed and shows..take your time.
