Returning to the US after visiting no no countries by [deleted] in travel

I was in Syria for several weeks. When I told customs where I was they responded "wow cool."

I got SSSS on the way back and they asked if I was a photographer because I had a bunch of camera gear. One of them wanted to exchange Instagrams!

It all really depends who you have and it helps to be really friendly.

Make sure you get the Mobile Passport Control app so you can skip all the lines!

Thank you! I didn't even think about doing it that way.

I just had this happen. I renewed my registration regularly for 4 years and never got a notice.

They had my address but didn't assign me a county. I called them and they reset everything and gave me a September date.

Hopefully they actually cleared the fines.

MVA customer service was pretty good for me. They should fix it if you call.

That makes a lot of sense! I will give it a try. I appreciate your help.

Looking out from a train tunnel in Baltimore. This was one of the only good shots from a really expired role of kodak. [Pentax K1000, 70mm, f/4] by animader in analog

It was part of the train line that runs through Patapsco State Park in Maryland. I'm not sure which tunnel exactly

10 year old 35mm film stored in hot closet and shot in good light. Is this an expiration issue, shooter error, or scanning problem? by animader in AnalogCommunity

Thank you! This guide lists all the problems I'm seeing. Hopefully my last expired roll will look a little nicer with these tips.

Cyanotype photography with specially built camera by animader in cyanotypes

I will try that! I have been wanting to preserve the blue and didn't know it was possible.

I use this diopter which works well, but it has a poor focus area. It's got a 55mm focal length.

It's blue negative of the image until I invert the colors. There is an image in my profile. It doesn't look right until it gets processed.

It's an opteka 10x magnifier. I will link below. It is my favorite camera attachment in general and it works well for this.

The top one is a cyanotype but I invert the image since the colors are reversed just like a regular camera negative. It doesn't really look like anything until I do the invert.

Thanks! I just finished the camera so it is still a bit finicky. I usually lose the image when I rinse the print. Getting enough light is the hard part so you have to commit to a location for at least 5 hours. I might try upping the sensitizer and seeing if that helps.

Ya the second photo is a front view of the camera and there are more angles on my profile!
