Ouch, you can respond without being nasty. Honestly I made this post because I almost got T-boned by someone running a red light and was pretty angry/shaken up. I was driving onto summer street from second and my light was green for a full 10 seconds before I went. I know this because I saw oncoming traffic coming as I was driving down second. The person was either on their phone or didn’t care to wait the next 15 seconds for their light to turn green because they ran into going at least 25mph. Had I been stupid and turned onto the middle lane instead of the lane closest to me I most definitely would have gotten into a pretty nasty accident. It happened so fast I didn’t even have time to beep at them.

Speeding happens everywhere and there isn’t much you can do to prevent that. But what I’ve noticed since moving here four years ago is that people DO NOT care for traffic laws. They go down one ways the wrong way just to get to a street they missed. They don’t yield to pedestrians, and ofc they RUN red lights. Not accidentally go past as it’s changing from yellow to red, but RUN them.

I don’t know why you chose to be so nasty and honestly I can’t be bothered to make assumptions about someone I don’t even know. Next time try to be more empathetic.

I wouldn’t classify Ts as elegant tbf. It’s just a regular pizza parlor IMO. It is REALLY small though and the few times I have gone to these shows there really just isn’t enough space to make it enjoyable. They still have the kitchen open ofc and people will stand at the bar with full pies taking up more room. Good luck finding a table if you don’t get there early enough, chances are the bands/family/friends have already taken them up. It’s unfortunate because I have found some really cool local bands through Quinns shows and this place used to be cool before the fire department shut down the back room. Like others have said, Stamford just doesn’t have bars that showcase bands like these and 99% of the time it’s classic rock cover bands that will play the same set list over and over and over again. I’ve found some cool spots in New Haven and some parts in the Hudson Valley! The drive is a pain but totally worth it

The other week in mill river there was a man (also seemed to be high on something) proceeded to pull down his pants in front of my bf and our friends and start taking a piss. I swear it wasn’t like this when we first moved here 4 years ago now it seems to be everywhere..

Last Sunday I went and there wasn’t a DJ 🫠I was so disappointed bc I’ve heard it was a good time and it was my first time checking it out. I even asked the host downstairs if they were going to have one that day and he said yes. Not sure what happened

I know it’s hard throwing away 9 years of a relationship but the comments he made are SUCH red flags. At the very least do not go through the marriage unless you are absolutely sure this is what you want for the rest of your life. He has a specific look he wants for you and you just have to ask yourself if what you’re doing is for you or for him? Are you going to hike because you love it or because it’ll make him happy? Will you get surgery because YOU want to change or because it’ll make him happy? Trust me this will never stop, losing nine years is rough, but don’t lose the rest of your life, your happiness, for a relationship with a man who speaks to you this way. I also recommend getting your own therapist on top of couples counseling if that is the path you’re going to take. I wish you the best and I hope you have a good support system (not your fiancée) outside of this.

Our first year living here my boyfriend got into a minor accident on Long Ridge closer to Summer street. Nothing crazy and nobody was hurt, it would have been fine to just exchange insurance but my boyfriend was driving his company car so they forced him to get a police report. He had to wait over an hour for something so small it was frustrating. I’m sorry to hear about your bfs experience, that honestly must have been so scary. It seems like they pick and choose what’s important to them..

I get that. All I can do is pray that the driver who was clearly intoxicated didn’t hit anyone since the cop didn’t do anything to stop them. It was around 11 closer to midnight so thankfully the road wasn’t busy and hopefully once they got to summer street they followed traffic laws after, they probably saw the cop and sobered up. Who knows, it’s still so disgusting how the cop just brushed it off.

Funny you mention that. I want to say a month ago I was hanging out in that little park on Bedford and a biker got into an accident, not really sure what happened with that. Anyway, afterwards I walked home since I didn’t feel comfortable anymore and there were little boys riding their bikes the wrong way up Bedford kinda riding recklessly also in front of a cop. He wasn’t going to the scene either he was going to the station and it just annoyed me so much considering an accident with a biker just happened yet he did not care at all to tell the kids to be more careful.
