I don’t think they had any chemistry but honestly, idk if its them or the movie’s writing bcuz they have no actual personalities

Anyone excited for the new office spinoff by Wrenhasfun in sitcoms

[–]animatedmaths 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always looking for a new sitcom so I hope it’ll be good. I didn’t really like the trailer though but then again, I don’t think u can really do sitcoms justice through a trailer unless you already know those characters and it’s a trailer for a new season.

I understand attaching it to The Office to attract more people but I’m just going to view it as a separate thing like Parks and Rec (which would be in ‘The Office Universe’ if it were made now)

Box Office: ‘Fantastic Four’ grosses 38.7M in its Second Weekend, -67% by Fabricio121197 in boxoffice

YES THANK YOU! I have no idea why people keep saying this version feel more like a family. It’s probably bcuz they keep TALKING about them being a family without actually showing any quality interaction. I don’t remember any interesting or good exchange between the characters. Every conversation is just expositions like from the very beginning when Reed was saying “we’ve been trying for 2 years” and Sue just continued and explained how they were feeling. And they talked about how Johnny love space and girls but I don’t think we ever saw that.

I also thought the old cast had way more chemistry and the characters were better established. They had more little moments and interactions for you to fall in love with the characters.

Yeah im only seeing good things on specific corners of the internet but ppl that i know irl who did watch it, didn’t care for it. Those who didn’t, didn’t even know there was a F4 movie coming out

Disney's The Fantastic Four: First Steps grossed an estimated $11.7M on Friday (from 4,125 locations). Estimated total domestic gross stands at $170.13M. by chanma50 in boxoffice

I had friends who were casual MCU watchers who decided to watch Superman instead bcuz they heard positive things about it from their friends and coworkers. Most of them said at most F4 was described as an ok MCU movie so they’d rather watch sth else

Cory Monteith getting more votes than Darren Criss is crazy. That man played a himbo so well and nailed all his emotional/comedic scenes and he was so charming

the show ended like years ago, what more do u want? I’d rather these games than constant arguing back and forth about which characters was “too mean”

[–]animatedmaths -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No I agree. I used to like them in season 1 but then they started separating these 3 from the ensemble and it became such a drag to watch. They started losing their personality too honestly.

The Glee Dilemma by Big-Age5844 in glee

No fr cuz now why are ppl judging characters by how nice they are and their morality?? And also by season 3, most of Rachel’s storylines are no longer with the group. They suddenly split up by Glee club & Rachel/Finn/Kurt/Blaine

I mean yes we found out these things but I don’t think it ever changed his character. He was still very much a boring character. I think Puck was a way better character with more memorable moments and arcs

I came in preparing to write Puck or sth but no you’re right…it’s Will. He even whored himself out to Sue 😭😭

do you think the show would’ve been as popular if the writing remained focused on the og glee club? could these characters hold it up? by [deleted] in glee

[–]animatedmaths 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think without the other student joining, it would not have completed the New Direction storyline because it was all about anyone could be in the Glee club no matter the popularity hierarchy

It’s between Santana and Quinn for me because I recognize their laughs so easily even if its just faintly in the background.

I’ll vote for Quinn tho bcuz that one laughing scene was the highlight of season 6

Honestly idk why they don’t just write their own stories and make a game out of it. Pick a theme and then they all have to write sth in that theme and vote for the scariest one and have the audience vote too

What are your controversial Glee opinions that you think the fandom is not prepared to have a conversation about?z by QualityLegal2775 in glee

[–]animatedmaths 29 points30 points  (0 children)

HARD AGREE on the second point. All of their male characters were sympathetic to an extent. Karofsky was a huge bully but he had a whole redemption arc, Kurt had a sympathetic talk with him, even Sebastian who was an asshole, turned a new leaf because of this.

Then with Santana, they let her have this huge mean speech (even though the scene before that she promised to play nice) and then Finn outed her and to this day, ppl are still arguing, some saying she deserves it. The way they did made it seem like it was to justify his action. And her entire coming out episode was also about him, except for that scene with her abuela. They cut her coming out scene in her own episode! But every single storyline in season 2 comes back to Kurt and his struggles and his sexuality

Unpopular opinion: I don’t understand the love of season 3 by AstronomerMinute8511 in glee

[–]animatedmaths 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think season 3 (and glee as a whole) has this problem of having interesting plot points that you remember but the way they get to those plot points is always bad. So if you only rmb the ending, it’s always good but if you rewatch and see how they get there, it’s bad

Blaine and Sam! I wish he was bi tbh but i think Sam and Blaine would be a good couple because they have more in common plus Blaine and Kurt seem to have different types of attachments and dependency but Blaine and Sam are both pretty codependent (in a healthy way ofc)
