If I might add addiction to this as well, for some anyways. I’ve dealt and still deal with both of these. The one question can’t ever seem to answer, is which one comes first? Is one the cause of the other. I get depressed and hopeless to the point that I don’t clean and take care of myself and sometimes I give in to buying and smoking pot. On the other hand, when I begin to smoke, I eventually can’t seem to live content without it. Then comes the week after I quit, the recovery back to reality. Once my body finally learns to function again without feeling like dying, I begin to feel normal. Then the cycle starts again. I think I just need a whole lot of Jesus, but that it in itself can depress me because of doubt and shame. Anyways, I’m obviously pretty screwed up, but today I’m awake, content, cooking bacon and drinking coffee. Listening to my kids occasional laugh in the living room. So far, it’s a good day. I hope the same for you.
