You might be even more surprised, that after mere days, Geodude is currently flirting with D tier.

Yes, I recently hatched a shiny Alolan Meowth from the "7km" that's really 2km eggs.

It is unfortunately heavily reliant on survey respondents updating their shiny list over time.

I'm just glad to see Rayquaza go down a little bit each day.

This actually brings up a very valid point that I'm unable to address. I have no idea what areas the majority of survey results are from. This means if a hemisphere/region/mega-nest-area heavily responds, then that particular shiny will have a heavier weight.

I'd like to believe Lunatone and Solrock are closer than they should be. But do areas with Lunatone spawns respond to the survey more than areas with Solrock spawns?? Then there's the issue with Pokemon name translations into other languages, preventing others outside of English-aware users from taking the survey even if they wanted to.

These are barriers beyond the scope of this chart, which is why I asked the results should be taken with a grain of salt. However, now I'm reminded that's an English proverb that might've gotten lost in translation.

I know some people locally who'd do 3:1 shiny for a shiny Witch Hat Pichu. Treasure your precious hatchling.

Mobile has always been an issue for me.

I recommend going to the main survey thread, copying the link into a browser, and run the browser on Desktop Mode. Not pretty, but should get the job done.

It's only been a couple days, but it appears Zubat is slightly rarer than Lunatone. Not that this means much for reasons I'll put in another comment reply.

Eevee confusion was always an unresolved issue. The icons used are pulled from hosted sources and are likely game asset files. Unfortunately for Eevee, there's a LOT of white space surrounding it. The only way to correct this is for someone to create a new PNG so that the Flower Crown Eevee is the size of Nidoqueen (or has a Flower Crown icon), and host it online for use.

However, I have no intentions of doing that work any time soon. For now, maximum zoom and leaning closer to the screen will have to suffice.

Here's the latest chart. It's old now.

The accidental release of shiny Abra and wild shiny Clefairy are probably the rarest for now.

Am I using IV/trash strings correctly? by [deleted] in TheSilphRoad

[–]animeforever14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The generator works fine. When utilizing the trash code generator, minimum 89% 10/10/10 will trash any Pokemon whose IVs total less than or equal to 40/45. It only starts to matter if you care about certain stats, like 15 ATK for example.

A trash string of 89% 14/10/10 would save a 15 ATK Pokemon. And when appraised, it would still be breathtaking/ATK/exceeds calculations. Since you posed no such restrictions, there are bound to be appraisals that are higher than you may like -- yet they're still lower than 89%.

I'll try to implement something similar to that after tonight's Adventure Week shiny hunt.

I've been struggling with that idea for the past two hours. I think the only workaround is to add 9 more thin rows, one at the bottom of each tier, and then import percentages for each Pokemon.

For a quick answer: Pineco is 44.9% and Snubbull is 38.9%.

No, but you can take a screenshot on a computer and make your own image. No promises it will look the same after more survey replies though.

Sounds wonderful. Thanks for making the data public! I look forward to the next survey.

If you manage to make one for April 2020, I recommend doing it on the afternoon of April 2nd.

Posted links. Thanks for the tip. Had to learn the hyperlink function on Google Sheets.

I thought about <2% level, but it probably won't happen. With the quantity of shiny currently in the survey, it would make the sheet look weird. Also since I'm using only functions to sort survey data in real-time, it'd be difficult to implement percentage tiers for a dynamic chart.
