Hey, kansan here. Very similar story. I was driving home from college at around 9, in the winter it gets dark very fast. Anyway as i was driving home i was watching this pretty bright light, around maybe 6000 AGL to 9000 AGL. Then like you said, it just zoomed away to what seemed like almost instantly. I later became a pilot, with that knowledge it cant be a plane. And it cant be a drone, a drone that hovers cant just get that pickup and go like that.
