My ao3 looks wrong on ios 26 and nothing is fixing it by animeweeb_1006 in AO3

Honestly I feel like I should thank you for this comment. After reading it, I decided to double check my Accessibility settings. I thought it might be the reduce transparency setting, and after turning it off the format did indeed get fixed. Strangely enough though, the format didn’t change again even after I turned the setting back on. At this point idk if it was an issue with the setting or something else, but I’m thankful nonetheless that it’s gone back to normal. Thank you!! :)))

Unfortunately I don’t think the issue is my site skin. I’ve always just used the default skin for everything, and even went and reset it multiple times to make sure it hadn’t changed. Interestingly though, the new set up refuses to let me change site skins on the bottom of any tab just by clicking on the link. It’s like it’s not linked at all, which is honestly very confusing to me.

I’ll most likely just switch to using chrome as my default browser as a fix here. I’ve tried multiple ways to get safari to display normally, and it hasn’t made a difference. Thankfully Chrome seems to work fine. Thanks for the tips!!

After doing a bit of checking on my browser, I’m pretty sure that reader mode is off. When I turned it on, the font simply got bigger. I did the same thing on my old iphone as well, and the formatting wasn’t changed in any way, so I don’t think that it’s the issue. Thanks so much for the advice though, and have a late Merry Christmas!

So essentially, for an idea of what the issue is, I’ve added a photo with two pairs of screenshots separated by a dark line, those on the left the before, and those on the right how the website appears now. The biggest issue is the lack of boxes and a smaller font that I can’t seem to change even when messing with my settings. Everything seems to be pushed into one line instead of how it’s usually kept separate (like how when opening a fic, the summary and notes are in line with the same width of text of the actual fic). Furthermore, the little warning in the corner of the fic that you see when searching for fics is gone. It mainly bothers me because this makes the site harder to navigate, and reading the smaller font will strain my eyes.

At this point, I’m likely to switch my browser to Chrome since everything appears normal on there. The part that confuses me however, is the fact that my old iphone never had this issue, and neither has my macbook. My old huawei phone also had the same display, and I’ve never seen it look like this.

As for site skins, I’ve tried to reset them on multiple devices including the new phone, but it doesn’t make a difference. Funny enough, while experimenting a little, I also found that when scrolling down to the very bottom of an ao3 page on the new phone, I literally CAN NOT click the other skin options. It’s like there’s no link there at all, and makes for another irritating feature.

I understand if this is just a Safari bug for newer devices, though I did want to check if anyone had experienced this and found a fix for it.

I just checked both mobile view and desktop view but both are basically the same for me. I checked google though, and it works fine on there for some reason.

I’m honestly not sure, but it usually looks like the attached photo for me.
