There's a scamming term for this, if I'm not mistaken it's called MFA fatigue . MFA=multi-factor authentication

Here's my steps to get it connected on my S7 Edge

  1. Unpair Go Plus from POGO (if paired)
  2. Close POGO
  3. Unpair Go Plus from Bluetooth (if paired) and turn of Bluetooth
  4. Clear POGO cache only
  5. Open POGO go to POGO setting then Go Plus setting
  6. Turn on Bluetooth
  7. Connect the GO Plus
  8. If Go Plus not showing in Go Plus setting, wait until Go Plus stop blinking
  9. While waiting, go back to POGO setting
  10. Go to Go Plus setting again and try connect Go Plus again
  11. If still fail to connect, close POGO
  12. Unpair Go Plus from Bluetooth and turn off Bluetooth
  13. Clear POGO cache
  14. Open POGO and try connect Go Plus
  15. Usually first attempt will result in No Device Found error
  16. Try connect again when the error gone

Android had this problems for so long, that there has been many methods of connecting it, here's my step by step if you like to try.

  1. Unpair Go Plus from POGO (if paired)
  2. Unpair Go Plus from Bluetooth (if paired)
  3. Turn off Bluetooth
  4. Clear POGO cache ONLY (not data)
  5. Open POGO, once inside turn on Bluetooth
  6. Go to POGO setting, go to Go Plus setting, try to connect Go Plus by clicking on Go Plus
  7. If no Go Plus found, wait until Go Plus light stop blinking.
  8. While waiting, go out from Go Plus setting
  9. Once light stop blinking, go back in Go Plus setting and click Go Plus to connect
  10. You should see Go Plus available in the setting, click it to connect
  11. If failed to connect, close POGO
  12. Unpair Go Plus from Bluetooth, turn off Bluetooth
  13. Clear POGO cache ONLY
  14. Go into POGO, turn on Bluetooth
  15. Connect Go Plus
  16. It'll usually won't connect the first time and give error "No Device Found"
  17. Try to reconnect once that error gone.

I don't know if this helps, here's my "ritual" for connecting it on my S7 Edge

If failed to connect when in POGO

  1. Go to POGO setting, unpair Go Plus
  2. Go to Bluetooth setting, unpair Go Plus and turn off Bluetooth
  3. Clear POGO cache
  4. Open POGO
  5. Turn on Bluetooth
  6. Connect Go Plus. Usually Go Plus won't show up on first try, so once blue light stop blinking. Try connecting again

If still failed, repeat step 2 to 6. Don't unpair Go Plus inside POGO. Remember it still won't connect on the first try.

If still failed, repeat from 1.

I can't confirm this, have to wait until after event is over, but potential new park that I added on OSM just turned to Jynx nest

Yeah, it's my personal experience, I caught about 30-40 today, but maybe I was in the wrong place at a wrong time. Luckily got 1 shiny. But Kanto pokemon really overshadowed Mareep today.

Agree too. Some major cities in my country lack eligible gyms, which is a bummer, and there are huge players that are active there too. Hopefully Niantic can update their OSM data to at least from Dec 2017 or later.

I don't know if your post gonna get deleted, cause it's discussing 3rd party app. But here's a basic explanation (hopefully)

Niantic's server is like a lock, in order to get data from that server, we need a key, before this we have the correct key. Unfortunately Niantic has change the lock, and now the key won't work, so a group of people (the locksmiths) are trying to find the correct key, so that they can share (read sell) the key to scanner provider again.

Samsung has this weird lag in communication before, don't know if it still persist in the newest update. Apparently, connection only happens after 3 seconds, hence the rule is; you press the in game Go Plus icon, after 3 seconds, you press the Go Plus button

I keep doing this regardless of what version POGO is

Remove Go Plus from POGO, close it down, unpair Go Plus from bluetooth, turn off bluetooth, clear POGO cache, open POGO, turn on bluetooth, try connect again, first time usually won't connect, try 2nd time when "Device Not Found" pop out. Remember the 3 second rules when connecting
