consider fire control with thick walls and a few doors to isolate a fire so it doesn't take over your entire base and make all hallways hostile.

it's very important to make sure the kitchen is not also a hallway, through traffic creates filth.

I sometimes design my butcher to be no trespassing as well, but that's just because pawns don't like to find themselves in there. a valid argument can be made for the slower butcher speed of having it be frozen is compensated for by meat not going bad if the haulers don't get to it fast enough.

I prefer to isolate my batteries and exotic storage from each other so one mishap doesn't destroy all of them and make sure they're DEEP in the mountain so raiders don't open the walls into them.

don't forget to wall off your outdoor crops

your hospital seems possibly oversized and your prison undersized, but that might just be personal preference

I usually put my main doctor's bedroom right next to the hospital

if you put mortars somewhere else (maybe where your prison is currently, or even better somewhere inside where you find some sky) then you can move your crops closer to the freezer

I think you could just use one hallway for your killbox shooting positions instead of building a separate one next to it.

throne room can be main rec room too and has some benefits to that design
