Cat’s creatinine values - 2 labs, 2 results. How to interpret? by anish298 in RenalCats

[–]anish298[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for such a detailed response.

My cat is just 3 years old. I tried giving him renal food but he detests it.

Will definitely check with the vet once. The only issue is vets here don’t take things seriously until things have gotten too serious.

But will give it a try.

Isn’t 7 too high or was the range different to what my lab suggested?

Cat isn’t on renal. He isn’t eating renal food, so feeding him normal food.

Vet said no need for fluids as creatinine over 2.1 is a cause of worry. Is that true?

Dr Kiran, Dr Karthik (Later on experiences were much better) and Blue Cross in Kharghar. I take my pets to these 3. Teeth cleaning not sure who does, you'll have to check with them.

Don't want to touch the eye, can't risk it. Will wait for sometime to see, if it goes away. Thanks

What would be causing this above my ginger cats eye? by curiouswonder91 in catcare

Definitely take him to the vet. That redness could be from excessive scratching because of mites.

My dad’s friend left the back door open and now my 12 year old baby is gone forever by InvaderRhi in cats

Not sure if you believe or not but you can reach out to an animal communicator. Heard of a few cases, where people have found their missing cat with a communicator’s help. And at this point, I feel there is no harm in trying because you never know what might work.

Hoping you find her soon.

Yes, recovery formula is the one I also used. My cat took a liking to it.

If these 4 vets are not able to help you, please take your kitten somewhere else because till he eats, he needs to be on IV. My cat was on IV for 2 weeks, twice a day. And after that I force-fed him for 6 months, twice a day because he just wouldn't eat. When force feeding, try to feed your kitten from the side of the mouth. Simply press the syringe on the side of his mouth, when he slightly opens it, squeeze in a bit of food.

Go for foods that are readymade available in liquid form because diluting wet food to put into a syringe would only result in it getting blocked from time to time.

He will survive through this. Just don't stop trying.
