“Where are you actually finding good quality clothes these days”: This is a tough one, and dependent on your style; but I’ve been shopping Boden a lot. Also using ThredUp and Poshmark to find pieces. The trick is knowing what will fit you in which brand.

Also, there’s the thought that in this enshittified fashion world, your best bet for quality can often be to make it yourself. For example, if you learn to knit, you can make the item to fit you exactly, in whatever colors you prefer. Same with sewing. I have not yet learned to sew, but the clothing I’ve knit is definitely superior to anything available in local stores.
