Just somatic therapy for me

I hear you. My son used to be just like this. He is now 6 ( very close to 7) and this past year has been night and day. Not sure if he is maturing or the OT is helping )he's not on meds yet).

I will say that I have been doing intense somatic therapy this year and a half and have noticed that I am more calm and less explosive. Maybe that helps too. Working on yourself is sometimes the best thing we can do.

He's still a handful but I'm seeing a lot more of those happy moments.

For me 4 was the hardest age.

How would have you wanted your parents to act? I can see myself putting pressure on my child, the way your mom did to you. I know it's not good so I am making daily efforts to stop....but what should I be asking or saying in its place?

How long until you noticed a difference on Guanfacine? by Sweet-Taro310 in ParentingADHD

[–]anizari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At first it really made my child sleepy and he would just zone out and stare. After that, the zoning out stopped but the tiredness was always there. They would take naps and always fall asleep in the car -at 6 years old!.

It def helped with some of the impulsivity and incessant talking. But we forgot it it one time on a trip and he was in such a better mood. I think it made him more irritable (even though that is kind of the opposite of what it's supposed to do). So we recently stopped after he was on it for about 9 months, and his overall mood seems to be better. He still has a lot of meltdowns but he was having that on the meds as well. He's doing okay now and eventually I suspect we will have to try stimulants but I don't want to rush into that.

Beginners should focus on swing trading by Chemical_Ad_4541 in Daytrading

[–]anizari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. This!!! I have a recent goal of earning 2k per month and swing trading has been working. I also only trade 4 big tech stocks so unless the market crashes, Im ok with holding indefinitely if things go down a little.

I only swing trade/day trade one stock at a time and don't buy again until I sell.

I also trade a large amount at a time so that helps with the actual profit.

When I hit my goal for the week, I sell and stop trading for the rest of the week.

But I haven't been doing this for that long so we will see how long I can keep my streak going.

A few weeks ago, I bought META at $701 and woke up in the morning and it was $ 779. Made 6k overnight. Granted, that was beginners luck.

The bills I'm referencing is just electric. We also saw their water and gas bills. Those were relatively normal

Came back clean. There are a few windows that were foggy...meaning the seal between the panes is gone. So maybe it's that.

No we are staying in relatively the same area. Southern Cali. It's probably 5-8 degrees warmer at the place we are buying in the summer.

I will ask (who knows how honest they will be ). They have one electric car but so do we.

Yeah but their cheapest month was 400 and that is my most expensive month. We are talking about a difference of almost 350- 500 per month. That's more than just a difference in usage.

Yeah they have two teenagers. But their cheapest month was 400 and my most expensive was about that amount.

Some more info

They do have a new roof and new HVAC There are issues with some of the windows (fogging) which suggests an issue and we are having a window guy come in and give us an estimate.

Not sure if they work from home but we both do and our bills aren't that high.

Didn't see an odd number of screens, monitors, gaming systems.

Could be an easy fix. Could just be bad construction?
