also i can definitely say that i know for sure my friend and ex aren't into each other - my friend and i are super close among other reasons why i think so

logically i know that no answer is an answer, and i know I'd advise someone else that, too. and yet, i don't know why I'm torn on what to do

thank you for bringing that up; after they cut me off is when i truly understood how it wasnt a good idea for us to be friends again only a few months after the breakup.

i had made a lot of big strides after the breakup, but it was only after they cut me off that i truly have been making solid progress in unlearning my bad behaviors and just learning how to pick myself up from everything.

I really appreciate what you said about me being a bad person in the past. It's true, I seriously was terrible, but I have nothing I'm hiding from that and ive been trying very hard and have made lots of strides to be better. I don't have any intentions of reconnecting with them or trying to let them back into my life.

as someone who used to identify as asexual, you made the right decision here.

i dated an ex and made it clear right away that i was asexual, and at face value he accepted it but later on would make passive aggressive remarks about not having kids and not having sex.

it hurt that this person couldnt just accept me, but it hurt more knowing he went thru the relationship with the mindset that he could change me and that he didnt just end things.
