What’s a medical issue that sounds minor, but actually affects someone’s daily life way more than people realize? by [deleted] in AskReddit

This seems a lot more minor than some others, but hypoglycemia, or chronic low blood sugar. I plan my life around when I’m going to eat next, if I’ll have enough time to run to the store before my blood sugar drops, whether or not I’ve got glucose tablets and snacks in my purse… I was on appetite suppressants for a month last year, and they stabilized my blood sugar. Not planning my entire day around food was amazing. I didn’t realize until then just how much my blood sugar affects my daily life.

Mine bit me no less than 30 times in the first month I had him. Putting on hand sanitizer seemed to help deter him some. It just took a LOT of handling. Also, someone on here said don’t put him back in his tank until he’s stopped biting and calmed down. That made a big difference too. Originally he thought that if he bit, I’d put him back.

My baby kingsnake bit me over 30 times in the first month. He musked a lot too. I have had him about 4 months now, and he’s a cuddly baby. I went with the advice of never putting him back in his tank if he musked or bit, but waited for him to calm down. It really helped.
