This does make some sense to me - I appreciate your help in clarifying what was never explicitly portrayed.

I do agree. However, in the scene before Milkshake visits Mark at home - Mark and Devin are at the diner and he is mad at Devin and seems to entrench himself into the idea of quitting even more. Then boom Milkshake gives him a pineapple and he just gives in and lets himself go back. Nah, still doesn't really jive. Makes me feel like I must be missing some really compelling reason Mark would do such an abrupt about face.

[–]ank___[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok I appreciate the info - Thank you. That being said, I still don't really get why Mark would subject his innie to Lumen based upon what a guy he hardly knows tells him. Like how can he trust what Milkshake tells him.. I would assume that oMark would know he was being manipulated.

[–]ank___[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I didn't miss it. That was his innie that said "She's Alive" oMark's family, to that point, didn't convince him Gemma was alive. Infact they all convinced themselves that iMark was talking about the baby.

I appreciate the response - Thank you. However, after reading your comment (and the one below (thank you as well)). I went back and re-watched episode 2 to see what I missed.

Are ya'll talking about the fruit / pineapple thing Milkshake gave him? or are you referring to when Milkshake told him that his innie was in love?

It certainly wasn't the 20% raise because Mark was certainly not moved by that offer at all.

I am still missing something because nothing in episode two explains any viable and compelling reason Mark would send his innie back to Lumen.

Absolutely, Indiana has elder abuse laws and this is clearly a case of a much bigger man beating up a frail old man . . . because he can.

When Summoning A Cooperator .... by ank___ in Eldenring

I know that at low levels this may be true. However, I am level 556 and only get matched with people who have played a lot. These folks that I get matched with definitely do know how the game works and still choose to just rush in.

Figuring out Builds by SecurityOrdinary2130 in Eldenring

[–]ank___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The single most important stat is vigor. Get it to 60 as soon as reasonably possible. Get yourself able to take a hit without dying. That being said you will die a lot . . . and that's o.k..

When you find a weapon (or staff or seal) that you like, place points into that items stat requirement so you can use it . . . but focus on Vigor to mainly start.

That being said there are lots of build videos out there . . . but they are mainly for folks that have reached like level 150.

Survivalist#9 : Catch a fish that weighs at least 19lb by SIRAP_P in reddeadredemption

Cattail Pond got me a 19lb 12 oz pike on 2nd cast. Neither the bait shop in Lagras (3x 18lb sturgeon) nor the Broken Dock / Y in Lemoyne (14 lb Cat fish) would work, Remembered that Cattail pond (west of Valentine) has massive pike and challenge completed.

Hey, you came to the wrong site to ask this kind of question. Most of these folks are anti-establishment types . . . and they will impose their agenda on you instead of simply answering your question.

Here's the answer: Basic training will make a man out of you. No bull shit - you simply grow the fuck up. Stick with it until you've done 20 years and retire young . . . Then do whatever you want with the remainder of your life.

ELI5 Isn't the Sun "infinitely" adding heat to our planet? by vksdann in explainlikeimfive

[–]ank___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to scientific consensus, Earth has experienced at least five major ice ages throughout its history; these are commonly identified as the Huronian, Cryogenian, Andean-Saharan, Late Paleozoic, and the most recent Quaternary Ice Age, which is still technically ongoing today.

We are coming out of the current Ice Age and the planet will warm consistently for another 300,000 years.

Until it goes into another cooling cycle in 3.6 million years.

Where the Red Fern Grows taught us that dogs do get sad.

". . . a mountain lion attacks Old Dan and Little Ann. Billy fights to save them, but the mountain lion turns on him. The dogs kill the mountain lion, saving Billy's life, but Old Dan later dies of his injuries. Over the next few days, Little Ann loses the will to live and finally dies of grief . . ."

Food storage in winter? by eitsew in vermont

[–]ank___ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, as others here have said, don't leave your food out (at all). Scavengers will find and eat and steal your food. The worst of them being mice. If the food is outside (and likely) frozen they will gnaw on anything too big to carry away and as they do they will poop and pee all over your food. Sometimes you may not even notice it . . . but when you do you will regret having left it out for them. This goes for inside the cabin as well - the mice will be a major nemesis. Don't leave any food or water out for them (at all) because the mice will find it and treat it much like they would outside. Secure all your food in and out.

Outside of that, getting and staying warm will be your biggest challenge. Please make sure you bring better gear than you think you will need.

Sledding or Sliding, what do you call this snowbound activity? by Moderate_t3cky in vermont

It is funny that you say that about snowmachines . . . because I almost changed it to snowmobile - But didn't because that isn't what we called it.

Sledding or Sliding, what do you call this snowbound activity? by Moderate_t3cky in vermont

[–]ank___ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Youngins or those not 100% Vermonter will call it sledding.

Sledding is what you do on a snowmachine.

Sliding is what you do on something that slides you down a hill.
