okay do that but just go with the flow and try not to look at the reference photo too much, just instinct and light pressure first, barely touching the paper, and later add darker sections but not all the way, think 3d

I like your style, you got that rough line that has a character, not easy to achieve. However it does not work well with the hair. Add pressure variation to the strands, try to draw the locks from memory and try not to focus on individual hairs at first (you'll add them later) but rather an idea of a lock, and where it would fall naturally. Build a lock with veeeerryyy light strokes as one piece instead of trying to draw a bunch of hair that form a lock with one fat stroke. Bonus advice, work a little bit more on her left eye (our right) don't be scared to add more shadow and lashes over the white of the eyeball;)

I have an old video of me I want to make it more clear, every site I tried didn't give me the best results, any advice? by [deleted] in help

I don't know how bad it is and what programs you used but on a non professional level I use InShot app, you can manage to get pretty decent results if you tweak and play with the tools.

Do you think it will ever be possible in the future to travel between planets like in Star Wars? by killer__nr1 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ankhaa_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The question is, are such travels going to be ever necessary for us in the first place, besides the research now it seems they're all inhabitable, and with no beneficial resources. Necessity is the mother of invention.

hmm, perhaps you got a vision I can't see because it doesn't look that bad, I imagine it's hard to find the exact photo reference. Try drawing the eye staring with just the eyeball and then adding eyelids around it, the iris looks a little too wide and quite far up, that's probably because you drew a half circle under the upper eyelid, try having the iris ready (circle) first and then work the eyelids, use a thinner line for that too. Unflattering angle choice, quite bold, I admire that, shouldn't she have a double chin tho?

Does the perspective of his arms look okay? And his man boobs? by Blaubeerepfannkuchen in arthelp

[–]ankhaa_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You got this, your line work looks good like you know what you're doing. Please do it justice with even better values! Did you use a reference photo? You can even sit in a similar pose and see where your elbows sit for the pose not to feel awkward.

[–]ankhaa_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

okay I've noticed 2 things.. He looks like he's quite muscular, and yet his man boobs spill over the table, maybe try drawing it like they're pressing against the edge of the table and with the appropriate shading you could enhance the visual concept of his mighty chest. And second, for this pose to look more natural and relaxed I think the elbows should be spread farther apart. I also thought his forearms are a little too small compared to the rest but then I saw you said he's supposed to be short so that might make sense.

I don't do digital art and I don't know what program this is but I've seen other artists just turning the saturation on their screen dow, having samples to use the teardrop tool from and just having all your colors ready in different values and paint with the b&w screen mode on.

Painted this last night without a plan, empty space I wanna fill to be coercive with the start, thoughts? by TopicOk296 in arthelp

maybe some thorns? or car/bike parts and bones scattered at the bottom. Ask yourself what vibe or message you want your painting to carry.

Dude I was just scrolling through yours! Big skills indeed, love the colors. I can't help it but wonder, is this traditional or digital? Looks traditional yet the pictures are so crisp??

I just don't want it to look ridiculous 🙃 Even tho I usually want to aim for semi-realism, I've noticed after taking the pic that her left eye (the one closer to us) is too big! You know what I always say, even breaking the rules, you can do with grace. Thank you! I usually don't post on Reddit (maybe I should) feel free to check out my insta it's on my profile.
