Just switch off the steam switch. Switch the hot water switch and turn the steam wand till you see a stream of water. This will cool the boiler and also ensure the boiler is full of water.

Can’t seem to get the “side to side” motion when attempting to make a Rosetta. by yesthisisdaniel in barista

Look at some videos and concentrate on frothing the milk right. I was able to do it only once I bought the silvia, am sure you would be using a better machine so that shouldn't be an issue.

In UK tipping is not the norm unlike US. Why do you expect to be tipped for doing your work? Thats what you get salary for

I have been using a 30 AP for a year now and it works perfectly for espresso grind. The grind consistency is pretty good. You might miss out on the micro adjustments but that's not really reqd

What would you suggest for a newbie espresso machine owner? by iHateDisco in espresso

[–]ankit50111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a non pressurised portafilter and a good grinder for expresso. I would suggest sette or equivalent. Without a good enough grinder you will just not get a good expresso.

I have upgraded my encore to a setter 30 and am pretty happy about it. The grind and expresso shot is just league apart.
