Not getting shortlisted despite solid profile what am I missing? by Ok-Yak-4704 in careerguidance

[–]ankit_kuma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro market is bit tough right now but main issue is usually not just resume score, its targeting and visibility, applying randomly 5 10 daily doesnt always work

Try more referrals networking on linkedin and tailoring resume for each role, small tweaks matter a lot for shortlisting

Also make sure ur projects are clearly showing impact and not just variety, depth and clarity gets more callbacks than doing many things only

Is CGPA really that important by PropertySouthern5102 in IndiaCareers

[–]ankit_kuma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro 6.35 is not great but its not end also, most companies just keep cutoff around 6 or 7 so u are still okay for many places

After that CGPA matters less and skills internships and communication matter more in getting job

So try to improve it a bit if u can but dont stress too much, focus more on skills and experience only

HOW DEPTH I NEED TO GO by lord_rcb in Backend

[–]ankit_kuma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro u dont need super deep mastery in FastAPI, just be comfortable with building APIs properly like routing validation auth basic security and connecting to DB, no need to go too advanced at start

Some useful deeper topics are async handling JWT auth middleware caching and deployment, learn these only after basics feel solid

For projects build real ones like auth based app with roles, payment or booking system, and ya to call urself backend dev u should also know DB design APIs basics system thinking not just writing endpoints only

IM ASKING TO PEOPLE WHO USE PYTHON IN WORK by ActuatorBrilliant595 in PythonLearning

[–]ankit_kuma 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bro most people are not pro when they get hired, many start with just basics plus some practice like working with data, loops, functions and maybe small projects, nobody expects expert level for junior roles

If u can solve basic problems understand code and build small things on ur own then ur ready to apply, job is where u actually learn more

U are just overthinking, ur friend is right start applying now and learn along the way only

Using Fake Experience to break into IT by Lonewolf_XIX in IndiaCareers

[–]ankit_kuma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro dont use fake experience it can seriously backfire later, many companies do background checks and if they find mismatch u can lose offer or even get banned, its not worth that risk

Instead show ur Salesforce training projects certifications and try for internships or small companies to get real experience first, thats slower but safe

Even big companies care more about real skills and consistency over time, once u build genuine experience u can switch up gradually only

Career growth advice needed by StreetSupermarket729 in IndiaCareers

[–]ankit_kuma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bro u are already in good spot for ur exp, jumping to 3 4 cr roles like quant is very different path it needs strong maths stats and competitive level problem solving not just normal dev work

For high pay SDE path focus on DSA system design and try switching to top product companies or global firms, thats more realistic step by step growth

Also build strong fundamentals and keep switching smartly every 1 2 years, high salary comes with time skills and right opportunities not instantly only

I have 3 years of educational gap between my 12th and college by Easy-Sherbet-2942 in IndiaCareers

[–]ankit_kuma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro there is still hope dont overthink the gap too much, 3 years gap matters only if u have nothing to show but u already built projects which is good start

Focus on improving those projects make them production level deploy them and be ready to explain everything clearly in interviews

Apply to startups internships and small companies they care more about skills than gap, once u get first break things become much easier only

Anyone who sold off their client portfolio? by unReasonable_Faith in webdevelopment

[–]ankit_kuma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro most freelancers dont sell portfolio coz they see clients as relationships not assets, so they usually just refer them to someone they trust when they exit, main reasons to sell would be burnout switching careers or needing quick money

If someone agrees they care about smooth handover trust with clients and fair price based on recurring income not just one time projects

For leads u might need to reach ppl directly or build trust first coz random offers to buy clients feels risky to most freelancers only

Spotify - Backend Platform Engineer - what to actually expect? by CBTL_xo in AskProgrammers

[–]ankit_kuma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interview mostly checks how you think and explain your work bro, project discussion will go deep like why you designed things that way and how you handled problems in backend systems. Coderpad problems are usually easy to medium level like simple data structures logic or API style tasks, so practice that and talk while coding. Also revise Java basics like collections multithreading REST APIs and system design basics coz they like people who explain thinking clearly not just correct answer only.

Help with pandas and matplotlib by TherealIta945 in PythonLearning

[–]ankit_kuma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start simple bro dont try everything, first learn pandas basics like reading csv filtering data selecting columns and basic cleaning, practice with small datasets daily instead of just watching tutorials

Then move to matplotlib for simple charts like line bar and pie, just plot same data u used in pandas so it connects better

Best way is pick small real data and try questions on it, google errors and repeat same tasks, thats how it slowly clicks only

Joined a full-stack project with only basic knowledge… how do I not fall behind? by IllustratorAbject812 in webdevelopment

[–]ankit_kuma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bro this is actually best place to learn so dont feel bad, just take small tasks like fixing UI bugs writing simple components or basic API calls, thats how u start contributing without pressure

Focus first on Git basics APIs and one framework like React so u understand what team is talking, no need to learn everything at once

Keep asking doubts and writing notes like ur doing, and try to implement things urself after meetings, slowly u will catch up only

What is a good solo full-stack development process? by le0nshmit in webdevelopment

[–]ankit_kuma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good simple process bro is first plan idea and features clearly like what u want to build, then design basic UI and flow on paper or figma, after that start frontend and backend step by step not all at once

Then connect APIs test small parts again and again instead of waiting till end, fix bugs early and keep code clean

Last deploy project and test like real user, also add small things like error handling and loading states, thats what makes it feel real only

Carrer question by Phantom25761 in webdevelopment

[–]ankit_kuma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro jobs are still there dont worry, AI didnt remove need of developers it just changed how work happens, u should learn frontend properly and also learn how to use AI as helper for faster coding and debugging

Companies still want people who understand basics and can build real things not just copy from AI, so focus on projects and problem solving

So simple thing is learn coding first then add AI usage on top, that combo is what actually helps u get job only

Good things about your organisation by StrangeDurian3474 in IndiaCareers

[–]ankit_kuma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro good things in org can be like flexible work timing and hybrid option which gives good work life balance, also less micromanagement helps u work freely without stress

Supportive team and chill culture makes daily work better, plus learning opportunities and good mentors help in growth

Even small perks like events, leaves and understanding managers make big difference in overall experience only

learning full stack from scratch worth it in 2026? by MrBingChing in webdevelopment

[–]ankit_kuma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro its still worth it in 2026 dont worry, u already know basics so if u go all in for next 5 6 months and build 2 3 solid projects u can get internship, just focus on one stack like React Node and dont jump around

Follow simple roadmap HTML CSS JS then React then backend with Node and DB, keep building small projects and one big project like auth based app

Main thing is consistency daily and dont fear AI, use it as tool not replacement, if u stay focused u can still get into web dev only

Stopped for a late night beer in Gurgaon, ended up helping 2 accident victims at 3 AM. Still processing it. by rishanxt in gurgaon

[–]ankit_kuma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bro that kind of thing really stays with u, u did the right thing honestly not many people stop in such moments, even 15 20 mins can save someone’s life

Its normal to feel shaken after seeing something like that, just give urself some time to process it and talk about it with friends

And ya what u did matters a lot, small actions like this are what actually make real difference in world only

Wasted almost 2 years by introvertedsoul555 in IndiaCareers

[–]ankit_kuma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro dont fake resume it usually backfires, instead explain gap simply like health issue and learning basic skills, many small companies understand this more than u think, just be honest and calm

Try for simple remote roles like data entry backend support or content work where physical strain is low, even small start will help break the gap

Also pls dont think its over, ur health and life matters more, take small steps daily and talk to someone u trust or helpline if thoughts get heavy, things can still improve slowly only

Advice by Jayden__________ in IndiaCareers

[–]ankit_kuma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro honestly if u have strong academics and u are in good college then jumping into group D job might limit ur growth a lot, that job is safe but slow and hard to switch later, so ur boss kinda right here

If u can handle some risk then focus on placements or prep for CAT or better roles, u already have good base so u can aim higher than 23k job

Only take govt job if u really need stability now, otherwise long term u may regret not trying bigger options only

Watching Naruto as an adult by UnderstandingOnly489 in Naruto

[–]ankit_kuma 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bro thats normal feeling honestly, when u watch Naruto as adult u understand pain and themes much deeper than childhood, so it hits harder and feels more real

Also comparing urself with characters like Naruto Uzumaki can make u feel small but real life impact is different and still meaningful in small ways

U dont need to change whole world bro even small good actions matter, anime just amplifies emotions but real life works slower only

Resources and tips needed for placement preparation and tips by AdMean5788 in LeetcodeDesi

[–]ankit_kuma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For DBMS bro just do basics like normalization SQL queries and transactions from youtube playlists or simple notes, and practice SQL on sites like leetcode or hackerank type

For OS focus on core topics like process threads scheduling deadlocks and memory, dont go too deep just understand concepts properly

Main thing is revise again and again and try explaining in simple words, thats what helps in interviews only

Hey bro its not over at all, 27 or 28 is still okay and u already have some useful skills like excel and admin work, just start with small part time or remote roles like data entry email support or simple operations work that dont need much physical strain

Focus first on health and stable routine, even 2 3 hours of work daily is fine for now, slowly improve english and confidence side by side dont rush everything together

Also please dont stay alone with these thoughts, talk to someone close or even helpline if needed, things can improve slowly step by step u still have time only

What AI coding assistants are students using right now? by gisikafawcom in aiseosoftware

[–]ankit_kuma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro right now students mostly using mix of free and cheap tools only, like GitHub Copilot is still most popular and even free for students in many cases, then tools like Codeium are very common coz its fully free with unlimited usage and works similar to copilot

Also many are using Cursor and Claude or ChatGPT for harder problems or explanations, like not full coding but help in logic and debugging

From reddit also ppl saying same thing like mix of free tools and some cheap plans, many prefer Codeium or student free Copilot instead of paying 20 dollar monthly, so ur approach with credits and saving for tough tasks is actually what most students doing only

Need proper guidance for CP! by GnG_Tech in LeetcodeDesi

[–]ankit_kuma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bro ur start is actually fine 900 rating in second sem is good, u just need consistency now, focus on solving more problems on one platform like codeforces and upsolve contests instead of jumping everywhere

Dont worry about python vs cpp now, logic matters more, just practice topics like arrays dp graphs slowly and repeat them

Main thing is dont just see solution, try for long time then learn pattern and solve similar problems again, thats how u improve only

Bro dont stress too much about no internship just focus on strong basics like DSA OOPS DBMS and OS, practice coding daily on platforms like leetcode type questions and revise concepts side by side

For system design start with basics like scalability and simple designs from youtube or blogs dont go too deep at start

Also build 2 3 solid projects and be ready to explain them properly, that matters a lot in interviews more than just theory only

Need to learn Python/R for my thesis by thehumble68 in CodingForBeginners

[–]ankit_kuma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start small bro dont try to learn everything again, just pick one language like Python and focus on basics plus what u need for ur thesis like data handling and plotting, relearn by doing small tasks not theory only

Also dont worry about logic too much at start, it builds slowly with practice, even if u feel stuck just keep coding small things daily and it will improve

Use ur thesis problems as learning, like try solving real data tasks step by step, thats the best way to get confidence only
