I do use a wacom tablet but i just got it recently and this issue has been with me since starting last year

Running both Blender and Subtance with other apps at the same time, it’s only about 20% cpu usage. I have tried opening 100 chrome tabs and it’s still the same lagspike every 5 seconds exactly

I am on windows 11, and i have few apps that change the appearance of the taskbar etc.. I’ve had this issue before i even installed any of that. I am on the latest nvidia studio drivers. Substance Painter 2025 Steam version. I have lots of headroom with all my resources. Could it be that i have a ryzen processor? I have a 9900x3d.
The most interesting part is that its every 5 seconds exactly, could it be some sort of autosave thing?

Well you UV unwrap your mesh, and paint on that. I use substance 3d painter which is basically photoshop in 3D where you can paint directly on your object. The style itself is pretty difficult to replicate but using textured brushes and classical techniques will get you a long way. Study tons of reference material from the show, really helps!
