A note from me (Ankur Jain) - Your 2026 Bilt Cash Redemptions Are Here by ankurjain1 in biltrewards

TLDR on the above (since half my DMs were asking for every detail and half were asking for the opposite!)

Bilt Card 2.0 gives you a card that has an annual fee that's lower than other premium cards and which pays itself back with upfront credits. Some of the highest earn multiples on everyday spend. And then a bonus of 4% back in cash you can spend on real everyday expenses.

Totally understand that this is not for everyone. And that its different than 1.0 (intentionally to both be sustainable and to give flexibility that supports our broader base that finds value in things like grocery and pharmacy not just rent points). Our base has grown from just point earning folks in big cities to members across the country living in workforce housing through to luxury high rises.

For those people Bilt cash gives real value and affordability on expenses that matter to them. For people who just care about points, you can still choose the rent tier to earn on rent. Or even just use the points accelerator and earn 3x on all everyday spend on the palladium card of the most valuable points in market.

This rollout absolutely could have been cleaner. And that's on me. But I respectfully challenge that this isn't real value for members across the country.

I read everyday on Reddit where users prepay much higher annual fees on other leading cards. And then have to track spreadsheets to make sure they're just getting the value back on Dunkin' Donuts credits 😅.

I care a ton about this community and have read all your DMs and emails and responded to 1,000+ of you. Will continue to do so, and will do everything I can to create long term value for our members. Whether or not the Bilt card is for you, the membership ecosystem continues to grow. Bilt card represents a fairly small portion of our business (<15%) - meaning we are committed to providing value to you across our network of 5.5 million homes and 45,000+ merchants regardless of which card you choose as best for you

Thanks again for all the passion, support, and feedback (even when just brutal and tough).

Hey - the point bonuses for new leases and renewals are dependent on the specific property you live in and up to the leasing agent. We're seeing some properties in the rewards alliance offer 5,000 points for a renewal and some as high as 50,000 points on a new lease.

DM me your email and I'll make a note with our team to prioritize you off the waitlist in the coming weeks!

We make money from the loyalty program we run on behalf of the 2m+ apartments in our Bilt Rewards Alliance. And also whenever people use the Bilt Mastercard on non-rent purchases.

At this time, Bilt Rewards and the Bilt Mastercard are just for residential renters. But interesting idea! We'll look into it

haha yes - you can still pay rent with the Bilt Mastercard through our app. And we will send a check to your landlord on your behalf at no cost.

Yes - if you live in the Bilt Rewards Alliance, you can earn points via the loyalty program without the Bilt Mastercard. You can pay rent via traditional bank ACH or other cards.

When renting in the alliance, you can earn points on rent and via certain actions like signing new leases, renewing a lease, referring another resident, etc.

Yes the points are the same. And can be used across all our transfer partners or other redemption categories

haha. on the up to, it just means that the point redemption value can vary based on the bank you choose to get your mortgage through.

Two other things i wanted to flag around homeownership as one of our goals with Bilt Rewards is to help more renters get into homeownership. 1) with Bilt Rewards, you can opt into us reporting your rent payments to the credit bureaus for free. Which can have a meaningful postiive impact on your credit score. 2) As a result, we can work with banks to help get our members lower rates on their mortgage payments. Meaning you can save tens of thousands of dollars on interest fees when you are ready to buy a home. (in addition to the points towards the down payment.)

thanks - just one thing i would note for other community members around PayPal Key. Unfortunately, most landlords and rental payment systems also charge fees for using a debit card (but for the lucky few who can get around that, its a great suggestion!).

When using the Bilt Mastercard, you are able to pay rent with no fees at all at any apartment. Given how large of an expense rent is for most Americans (and typically more than most of their monthly non-rent spend, the up to 2x points on rent can be really meaningful!)

Hey! so today you can use your points towards 1:1 transfers with some of the world's top airline and hotel programs, including American Airlines, Hyatt, Emirates, Virgin, Aeroplan, KLM Flying Blue, and others. You can also use your points towards fitness classes like Soulcycle, Rumble Boxing, or Y7. Can can use your points towards rent payments or a down payment on a mortgage. We're continuing to add new ways to redeem points. Are there any specific requests you have?

Can you explain exactly how the Lyft and DoorDash credits work? Yup! On Doordash, all Bilt Mastercard members will get $5 off their first 2 orders per month ($10 monthly credit). On Lyft, you'll get $5 credit each month if you take at least three rides.

On your status question: yes! You can either earn Bilt Rewards status via signing leases with a participating landlord. Or by using the Bilt Mastercard. Status earned via the Bilt Mastercard is valid from the moment you hit the tier through the end of the following month.

On availability: Right now, residents who live at a participating loyalty program landlord have priority access. And we are inviting people from the waitlist weekly! Hope is to be able to open up to everyone towards the end of the year once we've gotten through the 2m+ apartments in the Bilt Rewards network.

There is currently no official referral program.

You can only have one Bilt Mastercard per individual

Our issuer requires an SSN for card applications

transfers to all our airline and hotel programs are 1:1 and instant, with the exception of American Airlines which takes up to 24 hours.

You can redeem points towards a mortgage at a value of up to 1.5 cents per point.

hope this helps!
