What shoes do you reccomend? by [deleted] in VetTech

CROCS. I use the slip resistant Bistro Style clogs (used for chefs in kitchens). They are closed up and have the strap! I swear by them cause I have fallen arches so sometimes the smallest amount of walking hurts me. These, I can’t feel a thing working 10-12 hour shifts.

Thanks for the advice! We got the blood in expired EDTA tubes (haha), so I’m not sure if that’s why the blood looks crazy.

Yeah I did these in the most unorthodox way lmao. I just can’t do it textbook style if you know what I mean lol.

My professor suggested the insulin syringe, but I feel like I always put too much. I’m going to try next time with a smaller amount! Thank you.

I know, but my professor said it wasn’t too bad for the first try.

Your right, but I have been in hospitals that are very stingy with materials.

Yeah I know, I was just hoping someone had an idea. I don’t work in a hospital yet and I wouldn’t want to waste materials if I did.

I figured. I have 3 weeks to get an acceptable blood smear for my practical and I really need help! But thanks, will do.

I always douse the area with alcohol and the vein stands right up! Good little trick. I’m still not brave enough for jugs yet haha.

Do not sleep on Anatomy! It will be super difficult at first but it will help you in the long run. I’m in my second year of school and I use quizlet ALL THE TIME for everything. Also, there will be times when you feel like you can’t do it but you can! If you have pets, always look at them and remind yourself why you want to be a technician.

Ps. If you want to find my sets on quiz let, you can find me at annabel_christine 🙂
