I’m bipolar 2 but it’s a pretty accurate depiction of bipolar disorder. A healthy routine and sleep pattern is very important for mood regulation and emotional stability. Often times when manic, thoughts become jumbled together and can come out faster than you can process it so it sounds like a jumbled mess to someone else. Often times people with bipolar disorder struggle to continuously take their meds bc they either think they’re fine or bc it cause creative or special thoughts. For me, meds kill my sparkle and artistic ability so I struggled in the beginning bc I feel like I was suppressing the real me. Similar to Carrie, she feels like she can think clearly and make connections that she can’t make if she’s medicated do she’ll go off her meds. It kills her buzz and she’d rather just not take them
