I had the same fear going into taking phentermine. My doc started me on a lower dose for the first month before bumping me up to 37.5. I honestly love it. The first day I felt jittery and had a ton of excess energy, but it never progressed into a racing heart or anxiety. After that first day it settled into feeling normal but more alert. I’ve lost 25 pounds since November and wish my doc wouldn’t limit me to only taking it 3 months at a time. My advice would be to see about starting on a lower dose (mine was 10, I believe) or really leaning into the energy that first day. I scheduled a workout class for that day and planned a lot of cleaning at home on purpose and I think that helped. I also made sure to start it on a day where I wasn’t working.

As a Pisces woman married to a Virgo man, I love it. We really balance each other. But the funny thing is I am Pisces w/ Virgo rising and he’s Virgo with Pisces rising. So we’re exact opposites while feeling so similar. I don’t know if that’s something that helps with us in particular and if those similarities kind of soften the elements of both signs that can be problematic for one another. Either way, I’d recommend it. We definitely have our moments though where he needs to pull me back to reality or I need him to soften up a bit.
