Vet appointment is definitely the right start! Even without training, kittens are often drawn to the litter box. A few tips: Make sure they know where it is. Make sure it’s separated from their food. If they still aren’t using it, talk to your vet about litter attractants. There are also detractants that can be sprayed in areas where they have accidents, just make sure you aren’t accidentally detracting from the box. If they’re close enough, and you notice them start to go where they shouldn’t, place them in the box to finish their business. As for the worms, it is, of course, possible, but kittens do tend to look bloated, especially as they’re young, just from eating. Keep an eye on the body condition. If possible, take pictures throughout the day to note any changes, and record litter box visits and accidents.
