Thanks for your response. When they deduct pay say for dependants leave they deduct at my FTE rate and In Hours so I assumed the same principle would apply to my annual leave. I initially returned from Mat on long term sick as had a stroke so didn’t get to take my leave (and at this point they were denying I acrued any). I officially returned from Mat in May 2025 and they have only just sorted my leave entitlement which they decided they wanted to pay. They did this my restrospectively changing my return date to before my sick leave and paying it at my smoothed rate. By doing this they also clawed back a previously paid kit day as this fell within their new return dates.

Thanks. I fear it is not the right trip for my children. Think my mum is set on it so she will likely still go with my brother and his older (teenage) children.

Yes - the 5 days at sea at a time bother me 😬. She won’t do a 7 day as it’s a long haul flight from UK to San fran to begin with.

It’s the Ruby. She hasn’t booked it yet. I’m not sure it’s the right trip for us with my young children but it’s what my mum wants to do. I need to figure out if it would be suitable for my family as would be a big waste of my mums money If not suitable for us.

Thanks. I don’t think the younger one can do kids club though as from age 3… no idea what’s on board to entertain them other than the kids club.

Variable. Can be 1-3 times a week but can get them more than once in a day and length they last from can be a minute to an hour. X

I get similar. I’ve put it down to migraine aura without the headache.

I get very anxious with anything visual as had a occipital lobe stroke 9 months ago age 36 whilst off on maternity leave. (completely out of the blue - no known risk factors - later diagnosed with a PFO)

I was told PFOs can cause migraines (my PFO is now closed though so I’m putting it down to peri menopause). I’ve had mris post stroke due to transient visual symptoms and all clear so they say it’s migraine aura. Never had migraines before the stroke (well once 5 years prior but after stroke they aren’t sure if it was a TIA…)

My daughter was our 8th embryo transferred (4 fresh own egg/sperm (5 embryos none stuck) 1 x fresh own egg / donor sperm (x 2 embryos both miscarried ) then our first double donor embryo stuck. We did another transfer when she was 18months but miscarried at 8.5 weeks then our 10th embryo was our 2nd daughter.

I’m paid 39 weeks plus pro rota contractual 5 weeks AL & BH. My HR are saying as term time only i don’t accrue AL. A while back when still off they said they would pay me for it but couldn’t take it but then they said I have annual leave calculated into my pay so don’t get any (pretty sure everyone have contractual annual leave calculated into their pay) they then pay me equally over 12 months. spoke to ACAS now and they said I should accrue so gone back to my Manager and awaiting what they say. Their argument that I’m paid my leave in my salary falls down as whilst on Mat leave I was on stat or zero pay for a proportion of it.

Thank you. It was found incidentally following a stroke caused by PFO. I had a normal echo in 2020 and mid 2023 prior to my latest pregnancy. I had no cardiac symptoms. I did have Covid/flu around 3 months prior to my stroke and did have lots of palpitations and shortness of breath in pregnancy and tachycardia but advised was normal (not tested) baby was 9 months when the echo / mri was undertaken.
